    This picture is "fantastic".
Ntcham and McGregor as the last line of defence.
    Tierney as a CB
Jozo and Lustig are made of ectoplasm and cannot block a ball.
I don't even know where Hendry is.

I watch Swedish Fourth Division matches every week for my job and even there this would be unnaceptable

Couldn't have came said we didn't have a replacement for boyata..... Our management team whether it be the directors head of scouting recruitment and yes even Brendan along with the defence should hang their heads in shame all to blame not just for this but the poor start to the season also

Same mistakes he's making here as he made at Liverpool. His inability to sort a defence is the only thing stopping him from being a genuinely world class manager.

You wouldn't get a shot off at junior level with those odds..

    A disgrace..

We have 1 of the weakest, most timid defence around. Team's love coming up against how weak, slow, positionally *, laughably pish in the air and mentally embarrassing we are..

It should be blow-up and stuck on the changing room wall as a reminder that such schoolboy efforts are not acceptable at a club like ours!

Dejan Lovren always springs to mind whenever I think of his time at Liverpool.

One of the worst CB's I've ever seen.

Come on, it's not just McGinn is it. We haven't signed a new face this summer. We resigned Izzy, a player that we all loved at one point but he will return with less quality than he left. Eddy is a great signing but really we have secured the business that started last season.

Brendan openly said we are weaker than last season. Roberts, armstrong and sviatchenko have not been replaced. We know Brendan would have wanted them replaced. And it's safe to assume he would have had a idea who he wanted in. It's all on the board for me

I'm actually enraged at how physically inept we are in defence.

We are Europa league level and we can thank the board for that.

    Pile of dog *.

Brendan has to be able to mix it up a bit and change his strategy.

He tries to play at a level where his players aren't capable of playing.

We just try to pass teams to death, I don't mind a bit of route 1 football if Dembele is playing, he is capable of winning a header and flicking it on etc in behind for Forrest or Sinclair.

Same old turgid *. Hard to moan at his record right enough but this season will be a lot more interesting.

The board doesn't deserve the £40mil windfall that would have come with the CL. Simple as.

The board played a £40m game of poker and * it up big time.

Brendan needs to take his digs for not being able to get a team to defend properly. It’s a far way down from what the board has to be blamed for but it is there.

See if you’re defence is weak, then you set up you’re midfield so that it can’t be targeted, he has Scott Brown there who is one of the best in the business at taking on responsibility for others. Have him as the shield, play a bit more conscious defensively.

You need to breed a fighting spirit into the team along with the football, a never say die attitude.

    * I could go on for ages but the simple thing is, see the attitude that took a very average defender like Stephen McManus and elevated him into a last 16 captain? Aye, breed that into the side.
