We've had quite a large squad for most of the last decade. A natural consequence of having a large squad is that we've had a lot of fringe players at the club. Some of them were probably fringe players because they weren't quite good enough to cut it at Celtic. But I think there are one or two players who could have done a really good job for Celtic if they had been given a proper, sustained run in the team.
In this poll I have listed players who were bit part players at Celtic.
Which of these players do you think could have been a really good player for Celtic if they'd been given more of a chance?
You can select more than one player in the poll.
EDIT: I deliberately haven't included guys like Juarez, McGinn, McCourt etc because they are still at the club and may yet get their chance.

Milan Misun - looked a great defender but never got a sniff!

Crosas stands out, I also thought Zheng Zhi was decent whenever he turned out for us and thought he should have been kept, but I suppose we had plenty of midfielders. Also thought Caddis showed promise and should have been kept, even if we moved him forward I think he would be a good winger.

I thought Broto was fantastic, far better than Rab Douglas.
Koki scored a wonder goal then was never really played again.
Marc Crosas & Evander Sno, maybe not stars, but I felt both could have been regular, important, tidy players. Although, admitedley not better than what we have now.
Also, add in Efrain Juarez, although there is time for him yet, and Massimo Donati, who I felt was a good player, but just didn't play well in the system we played at the time. -
i loved javier sanchez broto

Broto should have been given more of a chance given that Douglas was inept.
I always hoped that Stephen Pearson would have made more of an impact, I liked the guy. -
riordan, wallace, broto, pearson

i voted broto and caddis.
both promising players, who weren't given much chance. -

The two standouts on that list for me are Stephen Pearson and Marc Crosas. Particularly Pearson. I think both of those guys had a lot to offer Celtic and it used to really frustrate me that Gordon Strachan wouldn't give Pearo more starts.
I also think we got rid of Stephen Crainey a bit earlier than we really needed to. We could have kept him around as a squad player and he'd have done a job for us. He's in the Scotland team now and has had a decent career down south so he's not a bad player.
I thought about voting for Milan Misun but given that I never once saw him play for Celtic I didn't. AC Milan were after Misun at one point so you have to think that he had something about him. It's a bit of a mystery to me how he never broke through and got a few chances in the first team. -

What about Juarez aswell?

Riordan, Crosas and Pearson stand-out. I went with Sheridan, personally. Looked like a decent young lad. I'll be following his progress in Bulgaria.
