McNamara is one of the best full backs i can remember seeing, Very under-rated! Can't remember who he got in the team for but it was one of the best things to happen to that sqaud :icon_mrgreen:

Could replace a the midfield about 3 times but I'll go with this.

 

I think I made a thread about him on here calling him our most underated legend ever.

 

Without thinking too much, I'd have to agree! Can't remember him ever putting a foot wrong, great delivery and a crackin' team player.

 

I cried at his testimonial :56:

Love Wee Jackie. We didn't do right by him in the end up.

 

What a bargain Jackie was. £650,000 if I remember correctly.

Tried to take advantage of his loyalty in the end, he was halfway to England before we made him a decent offer befitting of his talent.

Solid, dependable player and would have been my RB if I hadn't seen McGrain when I was a lad. An able deputy none the less to the great man.

 

Martin O'Neill should have offered him a contract before he left. Gordon only had a very small time to agree anything with him.

Such a shame. He should have retired with us.
