Reports: Celtic Close to Signing Former £18m Man Bertolacci

Reports in Italy claim Andrea Bertolacci is close to signing for Celtic. The Italian midfielder is currently a free agent but up until this wee three has been no mention of a link between the player and the club.
Andrew left AC Milan at the end of the season after the Italian Giants didn’t offer him a new deal. The player spent last season on-loan to Genoa.
Bertolacci has five Italian caps to his name and Milan paid £18m for the player back in 2015 according to TransferMarkt. The midfielder has made over 200 Serie A appearances and is coming into his prime years.
The consensus in Italy is the player as yet to reach his full potential and is currently seeking an opportunity outside Italy.
According to Calcio Buzz, the midfielder is closing in on a move to Celtic. I’d take any report like that with a pinch of salt with it proven in the past agents use Celtic to get their players names out there.

Probably bullshit

Would be great if he signed. He was very good at Genoa, but it all went wrong at AC Milan. They as a club have gone through a lot of trouble over the last three seasons. Internal problems within the Club. Maybe, he did not do well because of these issues. Free agent now. He is a attacking midfielder, but I looked at his stats and he played second striker in a few games. He would be looking to revive his career. Played for his country, Serie A experience and only 28. If true, it would be a real quality and interesting signing.

Roaster on Twitter mentions his name. Italian media runs with it. Scottish media just copies Italian media.

Probably * but we would be the perfect place for him to come and get his game back. Stay a season or 2 then move on for some nice cash. Win win for us both.
Makes too much sense and would be higher wages so can't see it happening -
Would rather Cifuentes than him to be honest
