Albion are on the brink of signing Celtic's Israeli midfielder Beram Kayal.
Kayal has agreed terms with the Seagulls, according to a source in Israel.
The Argus understands he will complete his move to the Amex tomorrow, subject to a medical, and will be available for Sunday's FA Cup tie against Arsenal.
Kayal, 26, is out of contract at Celtic in the summer.
The versatile Israeli international has played 131 games for the Glasgow giants since joining them from Maccabi Haifa in 2010, including Champions League and Europa League appearances.
He has drifted out of contention since Ronny Deila became manager at Parkhead.
The Argus reported earlier this week that Albion were keeping tabs on Kayal.
His progress has been tracked by the club's Northern scout, Darren Wrack.

He's probably too good for Brighton, but at least he'll get a chance to shine

He should do well in the championship, I hope he does as it could easily mean a move to the Prem at some point.

He's a better player than Brighton, that's for sure. Wish him all the best if he does go.

Hope he makes us heavily regret letting him go. Shocking the way Deila has treated him this season considering how good he's performed for him this season. *!

The biggest thing Ronny has done to * me off this year is not play him. He's a good player, a great player when on form. Thought he has played well this season when had the chance.

Good luck to him though, never forget how good he was when he first came here.

We have too many good players in central midfield. At least one of them needs to go, and Kayal's contract runs out this summer

I'd argue Kayal is a better player than others who've been occupying (pardon the pun :icon_mrgreen:) the position next to Brown, like Bitton and Mulgrew.

No one has better experience with occupying than Bitton :fear:

Honestly, I think all three options are good. Mulgrew has versatility too, which we'll need if we're going to have a smaller squad and Bitton has impressed lately. Kayal's a good player but he probably has better opportunities elsewhere.
