I didn't say it was British Royal. I know full well it's a Scottish Royal symbol. It makes no difference where the monarch the flag represents came from, I still fundamentally disagree with the notion that a person/family have the right to "rule" others because they were born to what is often either the fastest son to pump his cousin or the biggest murderer about the generation before.

Why does it matter when? It's the principle behind it - it doesn't change because it was hundreds of years ago it was used.

Aye I agree. I said it's a cracker of a flag after all. It's the fact it technically stands for royalty I dislike.

They are scum, a week past on Sunday there was a commemoration for Pearse Jordan, the unveiling of a plaque on the wall of his parents house in New Barnsley, before the bands started parading the scum drove past the house at a crawl on 3 seperate occasions! There was no need for their presence at all, never mind driving by the house.

Back on topic, saw on facebook earlier some hun was ranting about the flag being taken down and said, "here's a question for the republicans, the merry christmas sign in irish at the side of the city hall, when is that coming down then eh!"

I can't understand the mentality of someone who feels their actual identity and inner personality has been affected by a piece of material flying on some building you didn't help to build and have probably never even been inside.

If someone made a 200m wide flag with my face on it and burned it from the top of the tallest building in the world I wouldn't give half a *.

These huns want to be English so much they never actually go and live in England, they love their "wee country" so much they trash it up at the slightest thing, and they are so non-racist and non-sectarian they make every little thing a divisive issue based on religion.

Was a guy on the Nolan show this morning phoned in and was ranting away at everything though mostly at Gerry Kelly. Nolan let him go on for a good 5 minutes and you could hear the rage in the guys voice, I picture him in holding the phone a bit like this Anyway he paused for breath and Nolan asked him, "let me ask you this, after this vote and with the flag at city hall due to be taken down, do you feel any less British this morning?"
