Borrowed daughters laptop .. costing me a fiver and defo on the clock . As above laptop died and away for repair , to collect on Friday . Been on TC on the firestick but an awful palaver to post so just been reading .
Anyhoo I make that 12 players so will get cracking on Friday ,

if you were one of the five who sent a choice of artist and today you're guaranteed your choice as the one oh double any doubles after this you have first dibs

 

apologies for any typers here as i'm using alexa to make up these messages and can't do edits

 

first 5 choices are excellent and not some of the repetitive artists of previous games . first 5 can send their first song when they please .

 

Cheers folks ! got the laptop back today so everything fine . 9 of 12 have submitted artist choices so just leaves ,
@Marie , @prof , and @Gundog to go . The choices are really excellent so got a notion this is going to be a fairly quick and entertaining BOTB,s .
Thinking of 3 groups of 4 , so really only to vote on 4 songs . Bottom of each group leave so leaves 9 to carry on , 1 round of 9 to eliminate 1 leave 8 then simple head to heads till the final . Other suggestions are welcome .

Sat and randomed 3 groups of 4 entrants , so when I get the songs in we are good to go .
I know Im not in it but I just know you will miss my contributions .. so ..

 

I like this idea Taz , it was bothering me to lose players after only one song ! if other folk agree I think we should go with this version .

 

Ok folks where we are , just @Marie to pick an artist and song . Eight players fully submitted , just leaves
@Taz @Drakhan @Pinstripe to submit a song . Liking Taz's suggestion of 3 quickfire rounds ,


Maybe 3 groups of 4 (or 2 groups of 6) for 3 rounds.
The groups are redrawn after each round.
After 3 rounds the bottom 4 overall then drop out.
Top 8 progress to QF and straight head to head from there?

Like a league where points are given to songs where they finish in their particular group , say 4 pts to the song that finishes first and 3 for the second etc etc . I will kep the score and post them and positions after every round .

Pretty sure that's all the artists and songs in now , will get them posted in a song thread after the football .
