I think we need to remember our aim every season is to get into the Champions League, this is us in the Champions League.

We have a tendency to get carried away, qualifying out the Group is nigh on impossible for a club with our financial parameters. All you have to do is look at the clubs that haven't made it thus far and won't make it after tonight i.e. clubs like Napoli.

We should be enjoying and savouring every moment at the big table.

Is it safe in this thread?

I hope to see us go out and fight for everything tonight, the fans that have travelled over and the fans at home deserve a performance from this seasons CL. Lets go out of the Champions League in fashion.

If we can go out and play the way we have in the league, we have a chance.

One of those rare occasions I'm not sure what to expect entirely from Barcelona...Although I do believe they are intent on making a statement after some disappointing performances of late

Martino gave a hint that Neymar would be played as a #9 or at the very least a SS in that false 9 role...Guess that would leave Pedro/Alexis on the wings and the usual lineup otherwise...Tello could play but I suppose that's more likely as a sub along with Dongou or Adama

They lost against Ajax in the last matchday... is it a case of maybe, because La Liga is so tight this year, that now that they've qualified they're just focused on the league until February.

Because, in past years even when Barca had qualified they'd still absolutely destroy teams of the calibre of Ajax and Celtic, even with a weakened team.
Although in saying that some Barcelona players probably have a point to prove.

I forgot we were playing tonight to be honest. Horrible feeling being out of Europe before the last game. Hope we put in a solid performance.

No, there's an undercurrent of conflicting ideologies in how best to go forward with the squad...There's the vertical integration of Tata with or in spite of the Tiki Taka of Cruyff

I also wonder how prepared Tata is as a coach to lead a squad like this...I liked the team's sharpness at Celtic Park but back to back performances against Ajax & Athletic where there was a palpable lack of energy and speed to their game...It's hard to gauge where they are atm

I think there's a lot going on behind the scenes where perhaps not everyone is happy or united on how best to play

THE CELTIC KEEPER HAS BEEN THE HERO OF RECENT GAMES
    Forster - the human wall

The Celtic goal will once again be manned by the towering 2.01-metre-tall figure of Forster for tonight's game. He has undoubtedly played a leading role in his team during the last three Champions League ties of this past year, and has also proved to be the bane of the Culé forwards. There is one Barça player, however, who knows how to score against him, and has done so recently at that. Alexis has managed to get the ball past him twice before - during November's international match between England and Chile at Wembley.

In the three Champions League showdowns, however, Forster has saved a total of 21 goal attempts from the 'Azulgrana' team and was key in the match played at Celtic Park last season from in which the Scottish team emerged victorious. Barcelona threw everything at him in that game, with only Messi able to break through during injury time. Barça made a total of 25 shots at goal that day, with eight saves from the goalkeeper.

Forster is 25 years old. Having started out in Newcastle, he was loaned to a number of clubs such as Stockport, Bristol Rovers, Norwich City and, finally, Celtic where the keeper established himself - due in no small part to the confidence shown him by his current manager, Neil Lennon.

In June 2012, he signed as a fully fledged player for the Scottish club, which paid £2 million for him - a sound investment as he has become a key player in this Celtic line up - something that has also delivered him starter status for his national side.

We want to win the players want to win its as simple as that

Ok there isn't that buzzing feeling but for a change I think it's great we can relax and take in the game from an enjoyment situation all previous have been tense encounters and you don't get to enjoy them until you beat them and you've left the ground

If Matthews is fully fit, otherwise Mulgrew left back and Ledley midfield.
