I really think we must go to the Nou camp and play with no fear.Barca have made the best EPL team's look poor in recent years even Chelski had camped in there own box in the CL final

3 points is a huge ask,1 point would be a dream,go there and give them a game and enjoy the experience is what i say.

they seem to leaking goals for fun at the moment, but still scoring for fun at the same time, however that won't always save them

Keeping them out is obviously our main problem.

They are shipping goals though. The hardest thing is getting the balance correct between keeping them at bay and throwing bodies forward to get at them when we can.

    No Izzy?

It would be madness to start Mulgrew at left-back in this game IMO.

I'm assuming that Brown, Forrest & Commons wont be 100% and we need to be playing players that arent carrying knocks. I wouldnt mind if Lustig got started ahead of Matthews either, its really a toss of a coin between them at the moment. The midfield is packed with players that are well able to pass, move, track & tackle. Commons & Forrest are luxury items for a game like this. Samaras & Hooper are our out ball, 2 guys that hold onto the ball high up the field, we'll need them both playing and playing well or it will be backs to the wall for 90 minutes which would end in a thrashing for Celtic.

As no fan zone has been confirmed, looks like the thousands of fans will be around the las ramblas area, with the large placa catulunya square being the most likeliest and most central square to go to during the match day.

If Deportivo can score 4 against Barcelona, so can we.

I think it's important to note that one of them was a penalty, one of them was a wonderful free-kick and one of them was a mad own goal. The other one was a silly mistake from Valdes.

There is no doubt that Barca are looking frail defensively though and if we get the opportunity, we can get at them and possibly score a couple.

While Barcelona can't defend, they know how to score them. We'll get chances, but can we keep them out..
    Hope so.

We have to attack and try to put pressure on their back 4 but wem can't be too aggressive. We don't want to be 2-0 dowm within 30 minutes and be chasing shadows all night. Neil Lennon will have to get the balance right.

I Think we will lose comfortably....If we can keep the scoreline down to 2 or 3 i would be content.Even though the team is looking great at the moment we haven't came up against an attack anything close to Barcelona in a competitive game under Neil Lennon.Really hope I'm eating Humble pie come Tuesday :shamrock:

I agree with this 100%. I don't think there is an embarrassing result against Barca. When Barca put 7 past them without reply I wasn't thinking it was a riddy for Leverkusen, I was thinking what an amazing team Barca are, quite possibly the best ever and what a player Messi is, in my eyes definitely the best ever.

I was actually more embarrassed by Chelsea's anti football performance considering their riches. Ok they ended up winning the UCL but it wasn't a delight for neutrals. I would hate to see Celtic play like that, I know Rangers held them 0 0 at Greyskull but it's deadly, I seriously hand on heart would rather lose playing attacking football.

Now I'm not saying I don't mind if we get beat 7 0 haha, if we get a 0 0 draw I'll be over the moon but as long as we give them a go because as Mike68 says we've got nothing to lose.

I honestly think with our midfield and forward line we have a good chance of using that huge space to give them a couple of blows. Wanyama and Sammy are the two key players for me. If they are right on form, one breaking up play and getting it forward and the other be creative up front then it could be quite exciting.

I'm definitely looking forward to it, it's Barca at Camp Nou! Come on the Hoops! :icon_mrgreen:

My idea of a team changes every day. I just saw their result from tonight and the more I think about it, * it, lets have a go. Why have any regrets? I would rather get hammered having a go instead of sitting back and getting picked off because we will concede if we go ultra defensive. There is no doubt about that for me. Lets be one of the few teams who can say they had a go at the Nou Camp. I dunno if Brown will be fit so this is my team without him. If he is fit, put him in for Mulgrew:

    --------------Forster-----------
    Lusitg---Ambrose-Wilson---Izzy
    ------------Wanyama----------
    ------Ledley--Kayal--Mulgrew---
    ----------Hooper---------------
    -----------------Samaras-------

I think Lenny will play this though which would be the safe option I suppose:

    ------------------Forster-----------
    Lustig-----Ambrose-----Wilson----Izzy
    -----------------Wanyama-----------
    Brown?-----Kayal-----Ledley---Samaras
    ------------------Hooper--------------

Dear *, I hope I am wrong, but I think Barcelona will destroy us. Everything less than 4-0 will be OK.
