Because that's what has been seen so far of Ambrose in midfield.

In the 3 or 4 games we have seen of Ambrose there no doubt for me he looks far more superior to Brown as a footballer, whether it be in midield or defence.

 

The performances aren't comparable due to the opposition. Look, I've criticised Scott Brown in the past but I would be the first to admit he has been playing very well for us.

If I had posted a formation that played a right-midfielder, he probably would have been in there to tighten it up. I posted a formation with Wanyama sitting behind 3 central midfielders.

Even from the little we have seen of Ambrose - I think he will go on to show everyone that he has more ability than Scott Brown. He's played well at CB as well, which has me thinking he could read the game well if we deployed him at CM. As well as Brown has been playing, I still believe we have better options in the middle of the park. He would not be starting unless at RM for me.

I have no doubt Lennon will pick him though and Brown has deserved it recently.
