why have rangers got this connection though? because celtic was formed to feed the poor and starving irish catholic immigrants to glasgow, and as this is what celtic football club is based upon, rangers are against everything celtic stand for. i dont think rangers were formed to have any connection with ireland or religion. therefore rangers fans should not be singing songs about ireland im my opinion. as for your last point, ive answered this. of course someone can be just as much a supporter as any one else, but most understand celtics background.

you are quite wrong there in actual fact. . .Rangers FC were very much supportive in the foundations of Celtic. . .They gave us our first game, and the founders of Rangers helped our commitee out when trying to establish ourselves.

It wasnt untill a surge from the govan shipyards, led by Moses McNiell, the Rangers captain and a staunch Orangeman, seen the kudos Celtic gave to the Irish community in the east of Glasgow that the conflicts started

We weren't formed to have anything to do with Ireland or religion - we were formed as a programme of a charity organization that encouraged social integration.

If you understand the belief in a club open to all and love football you are welcome at Celtic Park.

Why does politics have to be involved? Keep it for the pubs and the rallies.

This has gone miles off topic from talking about banners at Celtic Park. I know we're having a good debate but this isn't Celtic chat anymore.
