so if they can only play with each other does that mean that never have or never will score when one isnt playing?

how did they manage before celtic?

pretty sure stokes has scored against st johnstone before without hooper in his career.

Because playing for celtic is a different ball game to playing for scunthorpe or hibs. I'm not bashing either of the two because they will undoubtedly be the main source of goals this season but i think that as strikers they should be able to play with other types of players.

Whenever stokes/hooper have played with samaras its always samaras that gets the blame and people say that stokes didn't play well because he was paired with samaras but frankly its the other way around, stokes and hooper can't be bothered playing with samaras and so the greek jesus gets it in the neck. I myself think samaras is a poor inconsistent player but he is not helped when paired with stokes or hooper who just can be arsed playing with him.

Of our last four games, Stokesy has started three, and scored in none.

I'd have no problems with giving our new £2 mill signing his chance.

Let's see what he can do. :50:

while this is true, it is also true that over 5 games stokes has scored 3 and set up 2 (both for hooper i think?) while hooper has played 4 and scored 3 with no assists to his name.

stokes' stats are better than hoopers overall and he actually scored a perfectly legal goal against st mirren that wasnt given.

Of course they should be able to play with other type of players and as for playing for celtic being different to Hibs or Scunthorpe yeah it is they will get more scoring opertunites with Celtic.

Sorry but this is bullshit - watch our games last year when sammy and hooper play up front and watch the amount of work and running hooper does for sammy, continually making runs into great areas or looking for one twos and getting * all in returns, only having to watch sammy run himself into a corner! Stokes and hooper link up simply because they MAKE the pass when its on, they RETURN the pass when its obvious thats what is required.....Samaras is a lone striker and thats all he will ever be.

BTW Bangura can work well with either hooper or stokes IMO - and we all know who is first choice between them so expect to be seeing Bangura and hooper as first choice unless Bang Bang has a nightmare start to his celtic career!

hooper making loads of runs are you joking, hooper is fast turning into a scott mcdonald mark 2 with more pace, if you actually watch him on the pitch he is a groaning wee * sometimes when he doesn't get what he wants, while samaras can't score in a brothel i think you will find sammy makes lots or runs into the channel giving space for hooper to go through the middle.

Fact of the matter is stokes and hooper would rather play with each other than with someone else, ive got no problem with that, but if they were to partner with someone else for example samaras they could look a bit more interested.

Why do you think they cant be arsed playing with Samaras?? Do you not think its down to the fact hooper has experienced it and knows samaras is in his own wee planet when he gets the ball! Dont want to turn this into a samaras bashing but slating a striker who works his * off when hes up front for us and actually puts the ball in the net is what I would call a joke!

Eventually the guy should hopefully be a good player but it would be mental to break up the partnership of Stokes and Hooper when he could be possibly be another Fortune. Let him develop a bit before throwing him into the first team

Listen sammi doesnt get games so lets play fair its hard tio have a partnership with anyone when you dont play much with them and i believe that stoakes and hopper have goals in them but are very similar

stokes and hoopers link up play is brilliant , I think bangura fits the bill aswell with what ive seen on the net. if we play the way we should with the ball on the deck theres no need to have a big striker, hopefully bangura is rapid aswell.
