'BACK THE STRACH!!'

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by ricroc7777, Apr 4, 2008.

Best point on this thread,i want to back him for the sake of helping our team but after reading so many diff views and seeing that * today i can see why the anti-strachan brigade is out in force, even myself forever the optimist is starting to wane in my support for the management of this great club:bbpd::bbpd::bbpd: gordon:bbpd::bbpd:

  1. Good thread, we do need to support him, all this anti Strachan pish is just wrong we support the Bhoys - win, lose or draw. He's won us 2 doubles and into the last 16 in the CL for the last two years. This has just been a bad season really.

  2. im sure the refs sit at start season and have it worked out whos gonna win the league

  3. as a loyal lifelong celtic fan i support my team thru good times and bad but i think it is our duty as fans to voice our concerns about strachan afterall celtic is in our hearts but its only in strachans pay check! he has got it very wrong this season and i just feel thats not good enough from a manager of one of the worlds biggest clubs....iv never seen a celtic team in years that have lost that spark...the passion of playing for celtic and today the only bit of passion shown was from mcdonald when he was taken of! yea il back the manager til the end of the season but after that i believe celtic football club should shop around

  4. I don't back the Strach, he has to go now, he has failed to produce. We are pathetic to watch, and it is his fault.

  5. bit paranoid mate?

cant blame the ref's, well had a player sent off today ffs

  6. He can do whatever he wants behind closed doors - it is what his team does on the pitch that matters!!

If you are saying that WGS can't handle the pressure then is it really the job for him?

As for "its not the manager who's only involved in bringing in the players" if the Board are telling him who to sign and who to play then WGS should grow a pair and tell the board where to go!!

At the end of the day, Strachans team are in decline and he has shown nothing to say he can turn it around. He put himself up for the job and the praise that comes with victory and the abuse that comes with defeat.

  7. ...strains of the last post playing....down to last bullet...last man on baracades...

I didnt even listen to the game yesterday and went to a pub and watched the grand national instead. Anyway, I am close to throwing in the towel re: WGS based not on his record which nearing the three year point is the match of all but big Jock. He is in a very similar position to MON at the end of three years. The main reason is what sounds like loss of the dressing room from what I have heard. No manager can survive loss of the dressing room. Also, re: selections, WGS baffled us once too often yesterday by playing Naylor, Donati and JVOH today when Wilson, Robson and Samaras looked like they were stick-ons. He could get away with odd counter intuitive selection when it worked like in the CL but not when it fails. On paper his record merits another season but if he has lost the dressing room and has totally lost his winning touch re: selections then he has to go.

  8. I think by seeing skippy going off the dressing room argument has already been answered m8,not good

  9. It's time alot of supporters pull their heads out their * and see that WGS doesn't know what hes doing!! Skippy cares about Celtic, he reacted because he knew that it was mental bring him off and so did most Celtic fans. I beleive most of the players can't stand Strachan and I think he should do the honourable thing and resign or the boards should sack him and give him his pay off at least we'll be rid of him. Tony Mowbray for manager next season.
