Seemed more assured than CCV has been lately imo even on his "bad" side. Good to see him back

Said it for a while, no idea why he gets as much hate.

Easily the strongest player we have in terms of challenges in the air and he's proven he can defend at the highest level.

Reckon he's one that MON will enjoy working with.

He's a quality centre half, rapid and really dominant when he wants to be..

Was excellent tonight. Did very well given he's a left footer. Turns out that's not the be-all after all. Criminal he didn't play Sunday.

Says a lot about the system we were so intent on playing that the preferred foot of the centre half was a key priority. They did have 95% ball tbf.

Unbelievable this lad was sent to Coventry by Rodgers. Not sure what he had done to be treated like that - great to see him back tonight. How he didn't start on Sunday is astonishing? At least Murray got Rodgers the boot. C'mon the Celts

Much better tonight, solid and pacy. He plays well with Scales, could be key on Sunday.

Could be a big player on Sunday at the heart of the defence

Wouldn’t mind seeing him show an aggressive side though

I thought he showed that tonight.

Had numerous aerial challenges from the get go and he put a belter of a sliding challenge in at one point.

Every player looked hungry and a lot more freedom

Always liked him and always backed him. The criticism was always justified but it was a game here and there. People who were writing him off completely, calling him a dud… that wasn’t justified in the slightest.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and all but if he played against Hearts I am not sure we lose that game and certainly not the 3 goals we did.

    Possibly still lose.

We were dominating their two in the midfield with our three in the first half, and then Rodgers inexplicably changed it, and then his crazy subs.

I like how he comes out to win the ball off people as well and will tackle people. Scales and CCV both back off a lot but sometimes you just need to go at guys and take the ball off them to speed things up a bit and bully teams.

He and Scales are dominant in the air, it will be crucial on Sunday.

Guarantee we work the set plays for Sunday I remember when Martin O’Neil was manager I would celebrate getting a corner or free kick on edge because knew we more than likely would score from it

Need to find an Alan Thomson in the team. Someone who'll just rattle it full force.

My son who's just turned 18 was just saying other than Jotas free-kick against Real he's not sure he can remember us scoring a free-kick!

Since Griffiths left I think that might be the only example.
