He looks like a poor man's version of Jenz.

If I am being honest, I am massively underwhelmed.

I was hoping for someone of the calibre of a McShea or a Hepham as an upgrade for the Champions League.

Apparently Sheffield Utd are interested in Mepham. We get the dud.

Aye...last times we did well in Europe it was our midfield that was solid too. Likes of wanyama, kayal, ledley. Before that with MON petrov lambert plus a solid defence.
Would have liked some steel in midfield but as long as we have solid cb partnership

as I said fans forums are fickle look at our own forum on players like MJ if they look in here they’d be like *! Swings and roundabouts I’ll judge him in a Celtic shirt if we sign him

You know what, * it, I'll take him.

By all accounts had a good season with Birmingham, won their player of the year thingy.
Just turned 26 and has a couple international appearances as well.

Get him in, partner CCV and have nawrocki and scales as backup, get shot of Welsh and promote someone else for a chance, be that Murray or whoever.

That's funny. I've seen links to us of both players on social media.
That fact that Michael Beale rated Trusty should be a red flag to us.
Beale ? The guy that talked a great game, but couldn't pick his nose.
Out of all the players we have been linked with, this is the one that has me the most concerned. I think he would be a bombscare in our defense, and I would rather stick with Scales, than * a packet on Trusty.

    Bottom line.

    I don't trust Trusty.:giggle1:

This just feels so much like the CCV link. Cameron was written off because of a few shaky performances in Europe and in the league for Spurs. The general consensus was that we were likely signing a dud on loan out of sheer desperation.

One bad season in a * Sheffield United side, out of position, in the best league in the world does not a bad player make. This guy as all of the physical attributes we need and playing here is a completely different set of circumstances to those he found himself in last season. Not least of all, he’ll actually get to play in his preferred position which never happened last season for him.

Spending north of £5m on someone with Premier League experience is not something to be negative about. Rodgers is putting his stamp of approval on each one of these signings. If he’s *, it falls at his feet. I think he will be quality and I hope we get it done.

Tbf they appear to be buzzing about Mikey Johnston but if you looked in any Celtic forum the vast majority of people would he calling him a useless wee gimp

    I get the same impression.

I'm sure when CCV was first being touted as potential signing, there was a strong opinion he's done * all and wasn't great for clubs like Bournemouth or any of various different loan moves of which there were Bournemouth, Luton, Swansea, Stoke, Ipswich and Sheffield Utd.

It is by no means a guarantee that Trusty will also become another CCV for us... but if he comes here, we've got to give him a chance

Big difference between the two is that CCV played nearly 120 games in the Championship before coming here and had been at Spurs since he was a kid. He was also much younger when he signed.

Trusty has played most of his career in the US, had 1 good season in the Championship and 1 horrendous season in the EPL. He's the same age as CCV btw.

I get the parallels but don't think it's that comparable when you inspect it closer. For me, it's a big risk and feels lazy. Certainly not the obvious upgrade on Scales anyone was hoping for.

trusty has played more in EPL by that logic than CCV had. As I said I will judge him in a Celtic shirt if it’s him we sign

Looking likely that he will be our CB signing, need to give the dude a chance, he may just enjoy being here, a bit of positivity needed. :67:
