    He's funny to watch.

He's got 5 GoPro cameras attached to his bike - if you're ever around Oxford Street 3pm-5pm you'll see him buzzing around telling people their errors.

    Ugh.

Cyclists pay the exact same amount of vehicle excise duty (which is what I assume you are referring to) as any other zero emissions vehicle. By your logic, electric cars aren't allowed on the roads either?

Besides, seeing as 90% of cyclists also drive, a strong majority of cyclists pay exactly the same taxes as motorists.

Furthermore (and as noted elsewhere, this is a somewhat tenuous point) statistically speaking, most cyclists are higher-than-average earners, and are therefore more likely to pay a higher proportion of money towards the upkeep of roads than the average driver.

On your last point - roads weren't built for motorists. Roads (and bicycles) were around long before cars were invented and they'll be around for a lot longer.

I posted evidence showing that statistically, cycling is a very safe activity - in fact, for young males, cycling is much, much safer than driving.

The only thing that makes cycling dangerous is impatient, arrogant and downright aggressive driving by motorists.

    Share the road.

Cyclists should be encouraged. There's too many cars on the road these days.

Traffic Droid now has two new ways to combat 'bad drivers'.

That * would get booted off his bike if he tried that in Glasgow :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:

    Two things:

Was that his bike the horn came from, or was it a the taxi's? :97:

And, whilst being a jumped up wee * giving the taxi driver the "red card" for "infringing" in the bike space, he himself (as shown in the reflection from the taxi), is half in it, and half in the space where the cars should be stopped at..........caught! :bbpd:

    I know mate.

No the * has two air horns attached to the bike which are much louder than a car horn.

He's so caught up with catching people to put on his YouTube account he actually violates a lot of the rules himself :smiley-laughing002:

Edit. He's intending to start selling the horns to cyclists.

    Fair bump this!

They still remain the vermin of the road as far as I am concerned. Even more of these * out and about with the spandex on of a morning, hogging the road in to town despite the existence of a cycle lane.

And only a week ago, while inhaling a delightful puff of a B&H outside the local, I witnessed some feckless cretin go straight over a quiet road (from the pavement,I should add, where he had been cycling along at great speed because he was a fud,) assuming no car would be turning.

WRONG! Driver did a brilliant job avoiding killing the *. However, said cyclist still went clattering on the road, ripping the tour de france ensemble, as a result of * himself.

And then had the audacity to scream abuse at the driver! Until the driver got out of his car, and turned out to be 6 foot 3 and built like a brick shithouse.

Hahahaha, wonderful - the 2 wheel jizzbucket scrapered pronto.

Seriously, nothing against people wishing to keep fit etc etc, but at least do it by the rules of the road. And stay off the cunting pavements as well.

    Aye bunch of * *.

I was sitting at the lights on byers road, red light with a green Man and a cyclist came up the centre of the traffic straight through narrowly missing a woman's pram!

All cyclists on the road should have registration plates so they can be indentified and prosecuted for unsafe road practices

Given the ever increasing numbers it only makes sense for their to be a registration process along with a number plate style set-up.

Common sense needs to prevail here - If you cycle in a city you shouldn't expect other vehicles to work around you.

A pedestrian will get killed eventually because of red light jumping - If you're too lazy to stop and start again then you shouldn't be cycling.
