What i didnt like was when Reid said they didnt look elsewhere for any other Manager ,thats shallow on there behalf there are plenty of Managers out there that should have been looked at and at least interviewed but they decided that there heart ruled there head on this occasion ,yes i will support Lennon and hope he achieves greatness as Manager but the board need to look at the bigger picture at times.

 

Lennon will give his all- and more- you cannot knock him for that.
Lets give him our full support- we need someone with character!

Look at all the names, rumours and suggestions that were flying about when renewals were due, Lawwell only last week saying it'll be worth the wait.

I think Mark Hughes was a reasonable bet, it was a good fit for us, and for him, both parties would have benefitted hugely from that appointment.

 

Lennon was not everyones choice...But lets give the man our support I would rather have a guy who comes out and speaks his minds.shows his heart on his sleeve and tells players that some of them are not good enough to fill that shirt. what we will get is a 150% commitment with Lenny and he wont be shy in weeding out the shirkers who wont run that extra mile for the club. He`s a supporter and he knows how hurt weve been of late...Would Trappatoni or Bilic command that sort of respect ? At Least we will have a team that will FIGHT rangers on the park....Like lenny said their were too many people at celtic who were toothless. I am looking forward to a hungry celtic side next season.

I like lenny but I still think it's too soon for him. For me the board have appointed him to appease the fans. IMO it shows a complete la k of ambition by the board.

 

He's kinda grown on me as the weeks have ticked by.

I like the look of the guys he's trying to bring in, very much seems to be going down the MON style of thinking, British type players that can play a bit, but know how to battle as well.

I just want the season to start again now.

 

Thats the big difference with Lennon over Mowbray. Changing a full team is only a problem if you dont bring in the right players. If you bring in youth and inexperience then its a receipe for disaster. If you bring in winners, old heads and experience players it works. Lennon will sort a backbone to build around which Mowbray never did.

I disagree with you about Hughes, he was liked by a large proportion of the fans despite being a United legend, he was loved by the players, so much so that players met with the clubs owners to protest about his removal.
So do I think Mark Hughes, who has played for three of the top clubs in europe, has won european trophies, premier league titles, fa cups, played for his country, managed his country for 5 years, managed two sides in the premiership, took man city to the later stages of the uefa cup and to the semis of the league cup could do a job in the SPL ?
