Are you happy with Lennon as new manager?

Mate I see where your coming from but I think Lennon's going to build a team that is hard to beat rather than a team to win beautifully which will be a big difference from last year. Mowbray never had the mentality to manage Celtic but Lennon does, even without the experience. Lennon's frame of mind puts us in a very different position than last year. Its too easy to be pesamistic again mate but I do see where your coming from.

My thing is Lennon's a man for Celtic not a Celtic man. Lennon's not "Celtic minded", he's a Winner like Strachen was.

 

I'n not overly surprised that Lennon finally got the job, but I can't help thinking that he was the boards back-up plan. Candidate x-y-z has obviously turned the job down so have they fallen back on Lennon as back-up?

Mowbray has had more management experience than Lennon and he wasn't cut out for the job. It will be interesting to see how Lennon copes when things don't go Celtic's way i.e. when the goals dry up or unfortunate pro-longed injuries etc affect the first team.

We'll watch the close-season with interest to see who comes and go's, but ultimately without a ball being kicked the intensity of the expectation/pressure is upon him to win the SPL - I would say more so than our previous 3 managers have had it.

I sincerely hope he does pull it off though!

Yes I think after all Lenny done for us as a player and as temp manager last year he has earned the full backing of every Celtic fan

 

Why the * was Lennon's name on the back of the old strip rather than the one that is coming out

 

we now, go into free fall the support is split again, the board have saved a run on the shares once more thats the third job lennon has had at celtic there will not be a fourth

 

lets not get too excited about this feat of impressive management that was probably more to do with the players spirits being lifted after Mowbrays dark cloud was removed from over Celtic Park.

Top post m8 i am glad things are sorted now we can have a good pre season and a proper warm up for the league

 

The more I think about this appointment, the more disapointed and cheated I feel.
I wont be buying any Club merchandise, the view, matchday programmes, matchday food, or buying anymore windfall tickets for the forseeable future.

Why do you feel cheated? You mean cheated by board as they announced something that was worth the wait and then they appointed Lennon? Or something else?

 

In what way will that help anything? Whether or not you agree with Lennon's appointment, you should back him and the club. We won't win the league if the fans don't get behind him.

Obviously it is up to you what you spend your hard earned cash on, but I don't think its the best way to protest. If we don't win the league, then you will be the one laughing (ok maybe not laughing but ya know) but whoever it is, you need to give your backing!

 

As I have said before I don't have the same misgivings about Lennon that I had with Mowbray, and his penchant for attacking expansive football, with no idea on how to build a water tight defence. Lenny knows the club inside out, he knows the players he has at his disposal, and knows the players he wishes to target to augment the side, and make them a well drilled unit who are difficult to beat.More importantly, Lenny has the winning mentality and durability to survive and succeed in the goldfish bowl of divided Glasgow. He knows the Scottish game definitively, and he has his finger on the pulse of the SPL.

The key now as far as I can see, is to get his new signings to gel as quickly as possible into the team, and as he has already alluded too in his press conference today " Hit the ground running ". If we do that there is reason to believe I feel, that next season will be entirely different from the last one we have just endured.

btw not backing Lennon's appointment doesnt stop me from supporting the team.
