Does anyone not think like me that getting Mowbray is going backwards and he will not win as many trophies as Strachan or O'Neill?
I think we have made the wrong decision and should have went for someone on a high like Coyle or Billic or maybe go for experience like Bennhakker or Trappatoni.

and why is mowbray going backwards?? MON and strachan werent held in any higher regard as mowbray when they came, both made there name at celtic.
as for the others we havent went for them so its MOWBRAY TIME get used to it -
O'Neill had kept Leicester in the top half of EPL in every season he was in it and won the league cup so you can wipe that off. WGS i will agree i didnt want him but he proved he was a decent manager. Maybe Mowbray will but I think we lack ambition and obviously cash.
BTW u should read properly. I said Coyle and Billic were ON A HIGH. Coyle now in EPL and Billic has done very well with Croatia.
Maybe you are forgetting Mowbray was BOTTOM of EPL and only 1 away winLast edited by a moderator: Jun 13, 2009 -
We don't lack ambition, where are all these misconceptions coming from?
We lack a decent league to play football in which in turn means our television revenue is pennies and our opposition isn't the best. Any manager worth his salt would lack ambition to leave the Premiership at this moment in time, in footballing terms it is the promised land. -
Unfortunately you are right and that is why i am glad i aint going back next season. I love celtic but cant face players of the same quality or lack of as when Mowbray was playing with us. -
where the * did anyone expect a club like wba to be?

are we going backards??????????

we dont have a manager
setanta have * all money to give us
we are stuck in reverse.

The football next year will be better.

we have reached a level that we cant better.
to improve we need massive investment.
that wont happen as the financial constraints of playing in the spl will keep us at the level we are at.
we are in danger of becoming like the swedish or belgian leagues.....no one gives a * apart fae the loyal souls who walk through the gates.
dont know about anyone else vbut when i hear of madrid, man utd are signing someone my ears * up....do you think madrid fans or man u fans even knew or cared when scott brown signed for us. -

Stoke spent £27m to get to 12th mate

I take it you will be happy watching drose then. Next season will see us play attractive football but if we dont defend it will be draw after draw. -
due to financial constraints i had to give up going to the fitba as feeding the weans was just that wee bit more important. i'd love to afford a ticket for the season ahead even though i have some big reservations to the quality we may produce.......celtic tilli die good and bad.
