The team that finished 3rd? Or like last year, when they still had the majority of there players?

You are using a hypothetical and quite frankly impossible situation because, you don't know how exactly we would be playing in the league if ghere was competition or how the Huns would be playing. Do you?

I know what the facts are, you talk about consistancy, it is a stoewall fact that this team is more consistant at every level they have played at compared to Gordon's. There are a lot of aspects that WGS team were better at but conistancy is not one.

Remember the Paul Le Guen fiasco? They weren't really a force either for 2 seasons.

I don't even need to use hypothetical situations. You just have to look at the * results with woeful performances in the league at the moment. I have never seen Celtic play as bad under Strachan, as they have under Lennon. This season specifically.

Did you miss the last season were we squandered a 7 point lead and couldn't score a goal to save ourselves?

Lennon has done magnificently this season, 10 points in the Champions League. More than any other team in Scotland, ever, including Martin O'Neill and Gordon Strachan's.

You are using hypothetical situations, despite you saying you don't need to.

Look at the facts, not things you make up in your own head.

well that's just not true, we were woeful towards the end of Strachans last season and if you mean individual games how about the motherwell game that we lost 1-0 at home in the 07/08 year, that game was truly horrendous.

The 4-2 game against Aberdeen? The game we got absolutely destroyed off of Clyde? The 0-0's when we weren't een attempting to put up a fight for 4-in-a-row...

Airbrushing these games out if it is not reliaty.

I loved the hunger, desire, never say die, backs to the wall, some moments of absolute genius moments from WGS team but they weren't a great team, they were a team of great moments.

There big game attitude was exceptional and that is mostly what people choose to remember.

I love WGS and was one of his biggeat fans on here but, player for player this team is better and the results in Europe so far for Lenny have been better. He has not yet matched Gordon's achievements as Celtic manager but his team is better...

Strachan had a terrible last season, no doubt about that. But that doesn't mean Lenny has a better team.

You look at the facts. We are performing terribly in a league with very little competition. Like I said before, I have never seen Celtic play worse in all my years of watching them in some games this season. Yes, we are doing well in the CL. But we aren't turning up for most domestic games. One of the main reasons I think Strachan had the better side.

I have faith that he will, but it isn't exactly nice to see us playing so woefully domestically. Of course it is great we are doing so well in the CL, but this is obviously at the cost of domestic competitions. It needs to change though.

It is my opinion that Strachan's team where better, for now anyway. So stop crying because someone has a different opinion to your own. I truly hope my opinion will change though.

And whats the betting that for the third year we will end up with more points than Strachan's teams ever did?

It hasn't proven too difficult for Lenny to do so, so far.

Gordon's first season he had literally no competition, hos second he was against * all as well because they were trying to recover. The slip ups an bad league form still happened regardless.

    The facts are:

More points amassed in the league on a consistant basis for Lennon's team.
More points amassed in the Champions League
Lennon won away from home in Europe.
Lenny's team performed more consistantly in the cup competitions

I can't see where you are coming from at all? Apart from a hypothetical situation were Rangers are in the league and we aren't currently sitting top of the league?

Were, it is a fact, we are currently sitting while beating Scottish Records in the biggest and most difficult competition in the world.

The last part is just childish, if you can't debate reasonably on a forum, used for debating funnily enough then what is the point of you being here? Man up.

This side has got us winning away in Europe. Imo Lennon's side is better.

better at working as a team. Individual talent I think goes to Strachan's still. Its getting close though.

imagine this squad with Mcgeady, Naka and Larsson all in their primes..... now that would be a great team.

I think this squad will eventually surpass Strachans, just need a few more technical players that can change a game.

No, not at all. We had far superior players, more experience as well.

Personally think Strachan's side was a lot better.

As much as I'm loving the run now, I also can't see how anyone can say "Strachan's side played godawful football".

Lennon's side right now is taking that principle to the utter extreme. Defending backs to the wall against all 3 group sides and getting goals through corners.

I mean, I'm not complaining and I never did under Strachan as this is the only real way to get progress against superior opposition. But please end the hypocritical "awful Strachan football" tag. Lennon plays essentially the same stuff.

Exactly Im in my early 20s so cant remember Bonner so Boruc was the best Celtic keeper of my lifetime and didny expect that to change so soon and especially not by Forster but he has more than proved me wrong and I love when they do that.
