Lubo wasn't exactly lazy. And if Deila would turn down a player like Lubo then he should get the * out of the manager's office. The fans would kill for a player like that.

Aye but that's all Ronny seems to want. Look at the difference in GMS from United to us, he likes the players having the skill and ability to do something out of the ordinary, it just looks like he doesn't give free reign for them to do so.

Stokes is the same. It's like that off the cuff flair and creativity is stifled.

None are anywhere near Lubo's level btw.

The team does have a very rigid feel to it these days. There is little or no imagination in our play. Ronny Deila talks a good game - "attacking football" "quick passing" "pressing high up the pitch". I'm not seeing much evidence of it in the games I watch.

Which is strange because his system might actually work with a bit of guile. It would work better at least. You will never win with a team of workers over a team of footballers. You need your footballers to work not turn your workers into players.

We are not pressing this season. This might be a good thing though, look at Johanson he's * knackered. We play nearly 60 games. You cant sprint through 60 games a season.

edit also training, he has quotes attributed to him about working them hard

Agree with both of those statements.

After Saturday's game he said he wanted more creativity. GMS ran hot and cold for United too, he'll be back.

He says a lot mate. It's what we see on the pitch I'm taking this from.

Even when he was 'hot' last season, that kind of off the cuff skill and creativity wasn't there. It's all very rigid.

We lack creativity without Commons that's for sure. Just saying that Ronny seems to agree with you.

GMS looked brilliant in preseason though :54: Maybe it's just the pressure.

Then he needs to follow through with action, I've got to the point I'm not taking much in what he's saying because he isn't following it up with anything of substance.

It's the style I'm talking about mate, it's like the players want to attempt anything out of the ordinary.

You can pretty much be confident that what he's talking about is what they'll be working on in training. We're just not seeing it consistently on the pitch when it matters.

Maybe Ronny's taking his eye off the prize since he's won his prize for the season? That weapon he was sitting beside at Easter Road :fear:

Unless the manager doesn't understand how to implement what he's wanting mate. He can say one thing and actually be doing another,.

He knows how to implement it. The question for me is more if he can do it quickly enough. His Strømsgodset team were not impressive in his first two years.

Either has his Celtic sides. When we sell our best players every year, is that something we can afford? He's been here for a good 17 odd months now. There should be progress.

He's also about 6 years more experienced tha he was in his first years at Stormgodset. Progress must be shown.

You wouldn't take Tommy's team over this one?
