I said fans of other clubs had said he would be found out if he left Celtic. I never personally said that.

The poster previous to mines was commenting on a post which was already speaking about Lennon and other previous Celtic managers. Basically, talk about all the good things that happened under Lennon if you want, but you shouldn't be highlighting the negative aspects?

Its so very very dull at the moment. We lack a quality player. When commons is missing there is no guile.

They are nowhere near Rangers in Lenny's 2nd seaso, saying so is just daft.

I fail to see what he's doing at Bolton has to do with Celtic. I really don't understand the scramble to slate Lenny thinking that excuses Ronny's * poor excuse of football.

The previous poster could certainly imagine Lenny's being beaten off Malmo but not Dr Joe's. I had a season ticket that season and managed to get over to quite a few games. I was actually in Zurich where we were beta 4-2 although I missed our 1-1 draw to them in the previous home game.

The point of Lenny being found out if he leaves Celtic was not necessary in this thread unless we are debating if RD will be found out if he leaves Celtic.

I have no interest in talking about the good times under Lenny in this thread it is not relevant to the current team. I do acknowledge there were many frustrating games under Lenny which were at times hard to take but he got some slack in his first couple of years because he had not managed before and the off field circumstances he had to deal with.

The worst thing about this whole Deila mess is thinking back to the time when the real boss made Lennon's position untenable, is just to think what if. What could he have got out of us with decent cash and long term thinking. I do feel cheated and robbed that this never got to play out, even more so that the current joker has conservatively set us back a half decade in 19 months. I really feel we blow a massive opportunity by not doing everything possible to keep Lennon and also by a very poor appointment to follow him.

That's one of the things I'm struggling with as well. There isn't one single player in our squad who I find exciting to watch. Commons is probably the most skillful player we have but even he doesn't really do it for me.

I get that we can't afford a squad full of classy players but I wish we just had one. One guy who looks silky on the ball and can do something exciting at any given moment. Like Lubo used to do.

Gary Mackay-Steven, Stuart Armstrong and James Forrest just don't set the pulse racing I'm afraid. :54:

Stokes has more guile in his left ball than Armstrong, McGregor and Rogic put together.

Rangers in Lennon's second season were pretty much doomed from the off though weren't they. It might have been completely different had they not had all the stuff going on away from the park. Completely self inflicted of course, but I don't believe for one second that it wouldn't have some sort of effect on the park.

I only pointed out what he doing at Bolton after you picked me up wrong on my initial point. Of course it doesn't excuse the football under Deila, I've not seen one person say it does. It seems though as soon as anybody mentions some of the negative aspects in regards to Lennon's time in charge here, even when they are facts, like results, it's seen as bashing him for the sake of it. It's inevitable when talking about the current manager, that previous ones will enter the discussion.

Hit home in Europe this season how far we've dropped.

I remember after Biton sending off v Molde just wanting the game to hurry up at end so I could go home, having no faith in the team to turn it around and feeling almost bored.

You just look at the team and it depresses you.

Players like Stuart Armstrong as regulars and being touted as potentially staying in the team for years? It's heart breaking.

Backed the wrong horse? It's not a case of that at all. I backed our current manager, as I do with every manager initially. I would have thought every fan done likewise no?

I've been critical of Deila in his time here as well. I feel he has made mistakes. I even said the other week I wouldn't be fussed if he was sacked now either. If he is given more time to try and turn things around though, I wouldn't be against that.

Lennon was looking like a dud after the same amount of time in charge here as Deila to be fair. You would do well to remember that.

Just because Lennon turned it around has nothing to do this this man. Lennons first season was excellent. There was a three month period at the start of his second season that was poor. Its the opposite for Deila, he has had 3 decent months and the rest has been total dogshit. Deila doesn't have it simple as that. I'm not going to back him because he is equivalent to a euromillions winner in that he somehow found himself in charge of my club. The man is a born loser harsh but fair.

They were still far superior than an Aberdeen team that's sitting third at the moment and have done * all to earn the praise that they seem to get.

I don't buy that 2nd paragraph mate and this isn't purely aimed at you but people are constantly trying to belittle him for some reason, in some sort of misguided attempt to make Deila seem better.

Facts are, Deila is nowhere near Lenny, WGS or Martin O'Neill. If we're comparing him to previous managers Mowbray and Barnes are more apt.

I don't think Deila likes * like that tbh, he's all about industry and working hard.

It's far from going well just now but in what way, shape or form is he a loser?

I wouldn't say a loser but he lacks a winning mentality at times. Thought he got to grips with that after January last season but he's reverted to type this season.

    Change the goal post's early door's :86:

He's lacked a big game mentality for us and that's filtered through to the team for all to see....but you could argue that he has, as his Stromgodset team trumped Rosenborg with a minute budget, as well as your Molde's. You can label him many thing's but being a loser, is not one. Our run last year was fantastic..
