He's not turning his back on Celtic. He's fed up and I don't blame him. Yesterdays performance didn't even faze me. No anger, disappointment, I just knew it didnt make a difference because lapdog is bullet proof. They are not going to sack him so we are stuck with a Norwegian Mowbray.

Your patter is * chronic. Seriously.

Hipsters, lapdogs, Norwegian Mowbrays, Unlce Peter...

You really should get yourself an assistant to have a word in your ear before you post that *.

When such a team is delighted at the manager you have in the dugout, it tells us something doesn't it?

I dunno why you are arguing with me anyway, I seen you call for his head yesterday after the game. So fundamentally we must be in agreement.

Yeah but your problem is, you can't be on the same level as the rest of us.

    We're content, you're * off.

We're * off, you have to ramp up the crazy.

You really are just * at it, I'm convinced you love being at the wind up on here.

Anybody that checks a teams forum who aren't even in our league to see what they are saying about us, just so they can come back here and inform the rest of us, is for the watching.

Aye because we never had terrible results and pitiful performances against 'weaker' teams in Europe under some of these managers.

I have been feeling apathy for years, except the European Campiagn in 2012 when we got to the last 16. Great run.

We just aren't the same as what we were and might never be, with that effect things can get worse.

I havnt liked the majority of his time in our dugout all for footballing reasons too. But ye do kinda get used to being underwhelmed, dont mistake my lack of anger with being happy. When you expect * performances and get them constantly you do get used to it.

I expect nothing from a Deila team. I actually think he could lose us a title if another SPL team got their act together. What more can I say? I rate him so lowly that until we sack him, the league is all I care about.

Totally agree, great post, I feel like a small part of me has died the last few seasons especially with our transfers. I'm booked to fly over from Belfast for 2 nights this Wednesday and I said to the bhoys the thought spending £500 on flights hotels beers to watch * football and a team with no heart is killing me inside. For the first time in my life I'm feeling like I'm wasting good money to see my team. That's completely wrong

I've only been a Celtic fan for half that time, but the thought of ever giving up on the club ... no. Even at the absolute worst, with Murray buying Rangers the titles every season, with Barnes, Dalglish and Mowbray proving complete non-starters as managers, I never thought, "Okay, I'll just stop supporting Celtic."

I'm not denying that it hurts sometimes, but we just have to pick ourselves up and move on to the next game.

Yes, there are problems, but there are problems for every generation of Celtic players, fans, management, etc. We'll see them out, though.

This is certainly the most apathetic I have ever felt in my time as a Celtic supporter. So I can relate on some level to what the OP is saying. I'm not really happy with what is going on at any level of the club just now and feeling that way is leading me into being disinterested in the whole thing.

    Let's start at the top...........

    The Board
I cannot stand them. Dermot Desmond does not care about Celtic, not in a practical sense at least. We are nothing but a status symbol to him. He's more interested in playing golf than what is going on at Parkhead.

Peter Lawwell. He's a lying *. The way he handled the Green Brigade was underhand and disgraceful.

Lord Livingstone? Don't even get me started. No Tories on the Celtic board!

    The Manager
He seems like a nice enough fella but I just don't think he's a very good manager. Does he have some good ideas? Ideologically speaking, yes. So did Tony Mowbray though and we all know how that ended(sadly. I liked Mogga.).

Tactically he's a disaster. I have no confidence whatsoever that he knows what he's doing when it comes to tactics and setting a team up to fulfill it's potential or overachieve. The job of any football manager is to make a team that is greater than the sum of it's parts. Can anyone honestly say Ronny Deila is succeeding on that front? If anything we are playing beneath our capabilities and have been for a while now.

    The Players
Apart from Craig Gordon and Scott Brown, I feel no affinity with any of the players in the current squad. Any one of them could leave the club tomorrow and I wouldn't care less. Leigh Griffiths I actively dislike.

In the past we always had players that I could relate to and who I loved to watch(Provan, McGarvey, McClair, Di Canio, Jackie Mac, Petrov, Thommo, Bobo, Sutton, Lennon, Big Jan, Barry Robson etc etc). Some of them even reduced me to tears when they left the club(Lubo, Henrik, The Holy Goalie).

None of the current squad make me feel that way. Broony is my favourite but compared to the players I've listed above? It's just not the same thing.

This is as poor a squad as we've had in twenty years. And I include the Tony Mowbray era in that.

    The Fans
It may be a bit rich for me to take a wee swipe at the fans given everything I've just written but I can't make this post without commenting on something fan related.

Celtic Park is not a fortress anymore. Not like it used to be. Forget Europe, I'm just talking domestically. Opposing teams used to be * scared to come and play at Parkhead. They were beat before they took the pitch in many cases. If the visiting team were 0-1 up or were drawing with us and there was 10mins to go in the match you knew their * would collapse because the Celtic fans would get involved. The closer the game got to the end you could almost palpably feel the Celtic fans sucking the ball down towards the opposition's end and in to the back of their net. We scored so many late winners and won so many games that way and, in my opinion, the fans had as much to do with that as the players on the park.

Look at it now. If we are getting beat with 10mins to go all you see is people streaming for the exits. It's rubbish. Parkhead is like a morgue for most league games. Some folk are going to hate me saying this but the disappearance of the Huns has definitely had an effect in that respect. There is no threat to us anymore in the league. We can draw 0-0 at home to Kilmarnock and have the luxury of just shrugging our shoulders because we know come May it won't matter a *. The league will still be won. The Huns going bust HAS made a difference to the atmosphere at Celtic Park.

None of what I have said above means I want those scummy * back, however. I guess I'll just have to go on hoping that one of the other clubs can raise their game and give us a challenge.

I still think we have great supporters. On their day. Come a big European night, we can still create an atmosphere that is the envy of almost any club in the world. Celtic Park is a truly special place to be when it's like that. But let's be honest, it's hardly ever like that anymore.

All in all, I am quite disenchanted with all things Celtic right now. I just don't think there is ANYTHING to be excited about at present. I am actually getting more enjoyment out of watching the NFL these days than I get out of watching Celtic. I could never have said that before. Hopefully things at the club will change and the old feeling will come back. I miss it.

Good post. Lay of the thumb though. We'd finish second without him.

We actually got heckled walking through Barras market yesterday because some of us were wearing Celtic gear.

With guys shouting "I tell you what boys it's no the club I grew up supporting etc, etc"

    Which was a bit random.

I could be wrong but when people are comparing it to the 90's I don't think the people saying they are apathetic are purely talking about the results on the pitch.

As Marky says it is probably more a mixture of things (although disappointing results obviously don't help.)

I dont blame people. I am * sick at the chance we blew. All we needed was to back Lennon and let him expand his team. We would be so far out of sight now. The problem is that the board have been meddling in the first team since the days of WGS. We have fans who are asleep at the wheel and a manager who might just blow a domestic league at some stage.

This is gonna sound * up.

Even through the 90s, 2005 at Fir Park, Lennon's 2011, times that would be considered lowest of the lows. I felt more affinity, passion, desire and connection to my beloved team than I do now. Everything feels different now.

By no means am I turning my back on Celtic by the way. Funny how people read into posts differently. I think I'm kinda at the stage where it's the team that I love, those eleven hooped shirts playing in paradise for 90 mins, whereas the club isn't what it used to be for me. Maybe I'm just sentimental now im older and my beef is with modern football. I don't know. Either way, I get where the OP is coming from. And equally understand the posts backing the club to the hilt.

Always look forward to celtic games no matter who we are playing but lately i find myself looking for reasons during the games to go and do something else....make tea....*....go for a *.
Anything to break up the bore factor ronny has given the team.

I want celtic to win every game...but i don't really expect it but this team in way to many games looks like it can't be arsed......is it any wonder fans are starting to feel the same.

Think its time ronny googled the celtic way cause he ain't got it right.

The downsizing is the main reason in my opinion. I would just like to add as well that the last AGM has changed a lot of minds. I think most men now see that the suits see the fans as marks. They dont give a * about the fans. The fans are nothing to them. They cant expand the wage bill by 2 grand a week because it will cut into profits that the fat cats take their cut. The club is run for capitalists, us customers dont matter.
