let me guess your one of those boring * who comes to games only to watch the game, fair enough if you want to do that but other people come to enjoy the game and support the team by creating an atmoshphere.

how the * do you expect people to do the actual huddle in the stands, have you ever been to a football game :56:

the huddle we do in the stands is the closest you can get to the actual huddle the players do, so by saying its the reverse you are clearly talking *

Hard to believe that after years of folk complaining about games having a * atmosphere, thet we now have fans complaining about this.

Better saving it for big occasions or days when we are struggling and score a late winner

Agree, it's been done too many times lately so it's starting to lose it's edge. Was done 3 times at the Partick match and no-one could really be * with it after the 2nd time.

Take it you don't understand why people go to games when it's getting shown on tv to? :38:

Huddle is good, the players must love it too. I do however think it should only be used as a bragging/cocky thing and at special times.

    Great topic mate,

I was chatting to my mate in work about this.He loves the huddle by the fans, thinks its great etc etc.I just feel we are looking like a dog with a new trick, every game every stadium now.Look at us! look at us! lol

When we done it at parkhead in the 3-0 game against rangers it was special, really spectacular, even last day of the season against motherwell it was great. But for me it's getting like YNWA was getting like for a while. The Dj at parkhead would play it for an spl clash against kilmarnock etc. It's simply not something that can be done half hearted. And when the fans try n do it at every ground it gets weaker and weaker.

    Just my opinion.

Good point mate - this might sound like I'm having a go but I'm not:icon_mrgreen:

The whole YNWA getting boring cos we did against Kilmarnock etc thing is probably why the park lost its atmosphere for so long. If we start doing things at "big games" and not your run of the mill SPL games we'll go back to the "library" atmosphere.

I know what people and the OP are saying - they don't want it to become the norm because it won't be as special. The problem is if we only do things like this at big games we will lose a lot of the atmosphere at the smaller games.

We'll just need to keep thinking of new things to freshen it up:50:

Brilliant to look at and be part of but it does cheapen it a bit when it's done at every game.

    Good * almighty!

We are crying out for an atmosphere at the games at times and the huddle helps to bring it - Lenny wanted to bring back the thunder and get the place rocking again and every single Celtic fan should want the same - the huddle and JCGE are two things that help to do it.

I'm guessing the OP and others who are 'fed up with it' are the same supporters who sit in silence for 90 minutes and offer a conservative 'hoorah' when we score???

And no mods, I'm not trolling here - but I am sick of the lack of support for the team at times. The GB are well and truly leading the way, whereas a lot of people attending home matches should really take a long hard look at themselves!

When you support Celtic, that's what you do - you support, whether that's doing the huddle or singing JCGE!

We are the twelfth man and can make a huge difference at times! And doing the huddle or singing certain songs, like JCGE, helps to make more of atmosphere, which in turn helps the team! And if we can help the team then that's what we should do as we all share in Celtics success!

Now away & support the team and stop winging!

It's just like when I used to go to the "dancing" years ago and all you ever got at almost every song was "here we, here we, here we fecking go!". It was brilliant if it was used at the end of a great set or at it's peak, when everyone was going for it, but it just got over-used to death.

The huddle was breathtaking (and I only saw it on TV) at the last game of the season, and JCGE was at it's best when we were 3 nil up against them.

Both of these should be used sparingly and at the right moment, but it's impossible to dictate that to a whole support. In Italy and other foreign countries they have a guy who leads the 'tifosi' in what to sing and when, I think the Green Brigade have something similar.

In the end it really comes down to us wanting to re-live those amazing moments, when the songs or huddle developed organically and spontaneously. It will get boring eventually and hopefully only used sparingly from then on. :50:

The Celtic Song ... There can be only one !
After watchin that dross on Sunday at least the supporters had something to look forward to when we did eventually score !!

I think in this circumstance the huddle was amazin ..... However how many of us actually do any singing etc during your run of the mill SPL games ?

YNWA, JCGE & the huddle are special as are the Green Brigade who go at it solid every home game. That is part of why I love going to the game and it also lets the younger generation to see some of the atmosphere that I used to experience from the old Jungle.

FFS ........... I think I am gonna greet ... The Old Jungle eh !!

I'm not sick of it but I think it is beginning to happen too often. It isn't special when we do it after scoring a goal against say Hibs or Aberdeen. It would be better if it was saved for big games against Rangers or in Europe and the more it's done time and time again people get less interested and it becomes half arsed. There would be nothing better than the huddle after a couple of goals against the huns!! It should be saved for when it really matters not after every goal against teams like Aberdeen. I think we ought to adopt a sort of huddle rationing system. :50::56:

I think the huddle is immense...for me,i think it's a positive energy and shows the world that our fans and club are among the very best in the business.
Long may it continue, even if we are getting beat! :huddle:

i wonder how long JCGE will last tbh ? Like if its always gona be a celtic tune now along with the other songs , or if a new tune grabs the attention of the fans in the next few years etc .

i have no complaints about it . It can be a bit played out at times but whatever gets the atmosphere rockin .. keep er lit in my opinion .

how can you be sick of it! adds atmoshphere to games, last season was brilliant! we lost the league and we were still singing, The huddle and J C G E added to this atmosphere, which was badly needed last season after the season before. Long may it continue!
