Any middle ground on here?

  1. Worries:
I think that playing 1 striker domestically is wrong.

I think that our defence is a disgrace.

I think Griffiths and Commons are being unfairly left out.

I fear this team could implode if put under sufficient pressure.

Stefan taking corners earlier this season when Charlie is on the pitch.

Tactical inflexibility leading to an easy game plan for our opposition.

The managers willingness to let Lawwell interfere in 1st team affairs.

    Positives:
    Our high pressing is good.

    Gudetti.

Calum McGregor (although he has lost form recently).

    Dundee Utd at home.

  2. Fantastic post IMO

There's lots to be improved but hopefully that comes along in due time

  3. Yep :50:

  4. A lot of it's down to the players. Defensively, we've been * and that might have something to do with Ronny's management but we've created a * * ton of chances over the last few games and he can't exactly put the ball in the net for them.

  5. I think ronny should stay but being in all 4 comps isn't some great achievement. Especially in the Europa league where we where pumped out twice without even putting up a fight.

  6. As I said a wee while ago Ronny isn't an ex Celtic player so he was always gonna get the fans who didn't want to back him
I loved Neil Lennon I enjoyed him as our manager and I am pleased he is getting recognised for that at Bolton atm
But Ronny is a man I liked from the 1st press conference the CL qualifiers were disappointing but I think Lenny himself would have struggled to navigate us through them this year
Ronny will go down as a great here we will have slip ups along the way that's always going to happen with the philosophy he wants to introduce here

  7. Also we are playing some decent stuff but we really need to sort two things out.

1: finishing our chances which Isn't really his fault

2: the shambolic defending which I think ronny has to take a fair bit of blame for.

  8. Defending will become solid again once Denayer and Lustig are in and the 2 weak links Matthews and Ambrose are out the team

  9. Aye they two are murder right enough :smiley-laughing002:

but we still seem slack even with denayer and lustig in the team at times.

I hope you are right and i'm glad to see your recognition of Lenny as most Ronny men seem to dismiss his achievements. Letting Lenny go was a massive mistake in my opinion but that is an issue with the suits and not the manager. I dont want him sacked but i am not seeing improvements at the rate i would like. If he refuses to fix our problems and we are in a title race in March then i would consider replacing him. That is my opinion. I think that is fair and reasonable.

  10. I think it's down to the philosophy tbh last year we broke the clean sheet record but I think we were sometimes a little bit negative in the later stages of games to try and keep this record up for Forster

  11. It was Lenny's decision to go.

  12. I think Ronny would do well to learn from that run we went on last year.

  13. Well i think that his position was made untenable but you are right that he made the decision to move on. If Lawwell resigned Sammy and Joe then Lenny would still be here imo.

  14. Last year was a bit of a drag tbh the football on show was sometimes very dire to watch and it got a bit boring last year when all could win was the league I am looking forward to the new year competing on 4 fronts is exciting and Ronny deserves credit for it

  15. He walked , it was his choice

After the January widow,if RD is backed, will be the time to really
start to judge him when we see the type of player he brings or try's to bring in.

  16. tighten up our defense then aye it's all systems go tbh we would be some team.

I'm not after us to win every game 4/5 nil I just want us to not concede goals first and foremost.

Ronnies Christmas present to be used on Virgil..... :smiley-laughing002:

  17. I think it was more of the fact that he was losing his best assets (Hooper, Forster, Wanyama) and was getting no money in return to replace them. He knew that it was impossible to build a solid team here because any * hot player just gets snapped up by some diddy EPL club and no funds are given to the manager to replace them.

  18. Lenny bought Derk, Pukki and Balde last summer :smiley-laughing002: he had funds and blew them 2 of them guys are on loan and 1 is rotting somewere pumping a Dutch model

  19. I totally agree and i think that not renewing those 2 deals in particular was the straw for Lenny. That is in the past though. RD is now. If RD turns it around i will be delighted but for me there is massive concerns in our team. I think most supporters will agree to this. I also think that blind loyalty is for the orcs and we should never take our eye of our manager and especially our chief executive.
