I have been to a few matches recently and brong along few people for the first time coming from belfast and the atmosphere has been brutl and embarrasing. Celtic fans were always loud making it difficult for the oposition now we sit and dont open our mouths at home against other spl teams. What can we do
We do have the jungle boys who do a great job. I am just wondering can any of us all here on this forum come up and work together to produce a singing fan base based near the front of the ground or can we get enough people from the website to try and create a great way to reboost our celtic park atmosphere. Even if it takes maybe putting it across to other celtic fan based sites and working together.
Any Ideas people who is up for trying to work or string something together.

“They will keep the ball so we’ll need patience and so will the crowd. If we get that I think we’ll be okay and European nights are a whole different occasion. It will be tough so hopefully the crowd can get behind us
That is from the celtic website
Even the players are crying out for the fans to get behind them thats what gets the players motivated and gets them confident is to hear their fans back them even if they are lossing come on celtic get it together -

Hi mate I go with different clubs my last game against dundee united was with a club in west belfast liam mcshane. Thanks for your input mate maybe we could get and make something out of this if we get a good backing maybe get a plea for the support on the celtic view or even the site itself

If they actually won and maybe put the ball in that net thing then am sure we would all be singing.

Of course but it is maybe leading on the negativity on and off the pitch for players . We as celtic supporters faithful through and through over and over we will follow you.
Even if we are winning loosing or draw we need to back up our team keep are reputation up as the greatest support in the land. The players feel the tension a whole stadium singing and cheering them on will get them motivated and get them coming together evryone united and thats when we help the team rather than sit in silince and make it difficult for us all and for the other team and supporters to laugh at us. We should not only sing when we are winning -
The atmosphere has been negatively influenced by a lot of things imo
- removal f terracing
- groups being split up throughout the stadium
- demographics of supporters that now go to the games
- an influx of fans that demand success but think they have no part to play in getting that success
to name but a few of the factors.
Terracing isn't coming back so there's not much that can be done about that one.
Groups should try to relocate to the same section, easier said than done and would need the corporation of the ticket office and other season ticket holders.
Demographics probably isn't going to change that much so we have to find ways of getting these people to join in.
All fans that are fed up with the atmosphere should sing at the top of their voice, no matter how bad they are or if they are the only one doing it, others will eventually join in to drown you out :icon_mrgreen: -

they dont deserve to be cheered and sang at for 90 mins because they havent earned it maybe if they started playing football and showing there giving there best and busting there balls for 90 mins maybe the fans would sing you dont get respect youve got to earn it

Well Thanks for your support and you are right in saying that I have done so and sometimes I make a idiot out of myself and sometimes I do get people singing. You have a good point in saying it is down to the ticket sales as I know a lot of belfast supporters clubs who ar esituated in the jock stein stand and maybe could try and influence them to create a new jock stein fan base to get the crowds going or were people show great support on the site all ideas are welcome and thanks

Anyway...yes the atmosphere is shocking...and that will contribute to me probably not attending any home games this season.
Edit......forgot about ideas........maybe get all the groups together, but that would be doubtful also,as i think a few of these groups have already been formed from previous splits.
Edit again....first part of this was meant for another thread lol deleted.Last edited by a moderator: Oct 19, 2009 -
Well Pearse
They are our team and I know they dont have the backing from us cause we know they are doing nothing but they will eventually go as our team is in a mess at the minute but becasue they dont play well we should not back our team so for talk sake if samaras or brown play crap and the rest of the team bust there balls like mcgeady then just they dont deserve aprasal. I think we should always sing and back our team weather we agree with the line up or not and back the plays to maybe preform better -
Well thanks pearse for you input do you not attend the games no more maybe get a potetion ging to get a plea put out in the celtic view or something along them lines
-
any season ticket holders could you private measge me your seating area please
-
Yeah I agree

Allow fans that want to create an atmosphere to gather together and dont stand loads of Steards around them.
Stop playing utter crap music at half time, play songs that will stir people and make them want to get up and sing, not some pishy techno "we love you celtic we do" -

Are you talking to yourself there brotherW :97: i've sort of lost track lol
anyway IMO the club should be doing more the attendance is going down aswell as the atmosphere . The only way to get the attendances up is too get the atmosphere going .
THE CLUB SHOULD BE DOING SOMTHING TO HELP THE ATMOSPHERE JUST LIKE THE CLUBS IN EUROPE DO
The only way that any sort of signifigant singing section going is to ask the club to do a major overhaul and get all the fans groups together in one section along with people like ourselves who are willing to join in . -

Seriously, a lot of people come from abroad to see Celtic play and a lot of them are disappointed. And I have to explain to everybody I know that atmosphere in Parkhead is not as good as they think it is.
Most important thing is that Celtic is too strict on the sitting policy. People who sit do not sing. That is a law of nature. Allow people to stand (at least in certain areas) even if there are seats and you will have a good atmosphere again. I am sure of that. -
I think mowbray noticed this any thats why he brought in ZZ for the chinese fans. Although a don't know why there gonna travel half the world for a 1 game. Just a thought.
-
HUH ????????????????? Mowbray bought ZZ to improve the atmosphere ???????
