    How cheap is cheapish?

    Work-lunchhour cheapish, or meal-with-girlfriend cheapish?

If you like Chinese the Panda over at the Springfield Quay is excellent. Good quality food and pretty inexpensive. I fed five of us for £50 in there and that was for three 3 course adults, two 2 course kids and 6 drinks.

My favourite in that range is probably Asia Style near Charing X.
Really good asian fusion cooking - Malaysian/Indonesian meets Chinese.
The decor is cheap & cheerful, but the food is excellent.
    £8 to £13 for a main course

Also Nanakusa - just up from Sleazy's on Sauchiehall St.
Japanese style - do good sushi and ramen/soba etc.
Also got a wide range of starter-type dishes from about £3, so you can do the tapas thing.
    Good value, pleasant staff.

I use 5pm.co.uk a lot. With one of their offers you can quite often feed two for £50 at a dearer place - my favourite in Glasgow is possibly Rococo - and Gamba if you like seafood.

When I'm in Glasgow we usually go to either DiMaggio's, The Italian Kitchen or La Tasca, all nice and all reasonable.

If you're thinking Italian, the Jamie Oliver place on George Square is actually well worth a visit.

I went there not expecting much, but pleasantly surprised.
