Anthony Ralston

Class tackle. Love that about ralston, he has the passion and bit of bite we need. Would like to see him take his chance and try get back to the form he was in a couple seasons ago. A run of games might do it for him

 

Hopefully seizes his chance on Sunday..

 

One thing I'll give him credit for is not throwing himself to the ground and pretending to have been sythed like so many do. Was as if he was stunned at Ralston's appearance.

 

Should have had a runout a few weeks ago as johnston not at it just now .

 

Don't think Johnston was a loss today. Adds a lot more going forwards and we needed that today.

 

I prefer him to Johnston tbh.

 

Sell AJ, if we can, and purchase a new RB. Tony Ralston is happy to be here and can deputise perfectly in the SPFL.

 

Probably his place to lose now. His tackle got us that goal a few days ago aswel. His hearts vital.

 

Thought he was good again.

 

Excellent today, really impressed. Been critical of him before but continues to prove me wrong.

 

I thought he was immense. Made a lot of good tackles and supported attacks really well.
Also won the ball back in the opponents half on a few occasions in the second half, which broke down any counter attack and helped sustain pressure.

 

Thought he was good again today. I think when he attacks he overs a lot with his pace and good deliveries and was good defensively too. Only criticism I have on him from today which could be just down to lack of games recently is that a couple times he would be slow to make a run/overlap or remain static while say O’Riley or the rw would have it out right rather than run in behind but that could’ve also been possibly because he didn’t want to get caught out defensively. Happy to have him back and think he’s offered more than AJ so far so I’m hoping he keeps building on it

 

He's far, far better going forward than AJ is.

 

Ball into Idah was a belter. AJ not got that in his locker.

 

Another solid display, brings a bit of badly needed steel to our side.
Right now, he should hold the jersey, even when AJ is fit, just offers more all round.

 

Though he spoke very well..

 

He’s got very good at batting away the question fishing for him to give a headline with another RB ahead of him - the JJ question was aimed at him weekly when he moved to RB over Ralston, after the initial spell they played in the same team, JJ on the left him on the right.

I * love his attitude man.

 

Definitely appreciates the position he's in and great attitude to have in the squad.

Covered a number of points that are discussed frequently on this forum too. Interesting.
