Started the game excellently but gradually got worse and worse. His 1v1 defending at times is brutal.

Gave the ball away, constant hit and hopes up the field, that bizarre back pass in the first half that went for a corner, the heavy touches, don’t think he got the ball off McKay once

 

Didn't think he was all that bad, RW's were running away trying to make runs in behind and not really given him much option. Was the opposite down the left.

Should have had a goal, gets stuck in. Thats what I like about him.

 

I think there's something in him that drives the team on when things get tough. When I saw 2-2 happen, I said to myself: "Ralston better stay on, this one will go down to the wire!" He stayed on, and we ripped out the points from Hearts' jaws.

 

I agree. Thought he played well although McKay did give him a hard time. Could see him making forward runs and passes and pushing us on.

 

Thought he was poor today.

 

Before this game, I was 100% in favor of him starting vs. Shakhtar. Now I have mixed feelings about that idea. We might need him, but he did make errors.

 

He was poor today, set up a goal and had a perfectly good goal chopped off as well.

 

Thought it was dodgy playing him today, McKay is pish but a dribbler and Ralston doesn't cope that well when guys run at him although it never really bothered him today was more running out of position following guys too much that left us wide open there quite a lot.

 

No chance, Shakhtars best player is their left winger and he's someone who runs at people with the ball. Juranovic all day, he even outpaced Juranovic to score the last time and hes much quicker.

 

Yes, but Maeda's the key player to stop their LW- he's the one that nullified Mudryk. Ralston could stay, and offer directness, set piece threats and aerial defense coverage. It is likely that Juranović will start, but I wish he at least picked up the Ralston long pass. We need to be direct in Europe.

 

Showed today why JJ is our starter. Couldn’t get out through him or Bernie today. As soon as Taylor came on we saw the difference and would have been the same if JJ came on. JJ has the ability to beat the man with his first touch with those runs inside.

 

Started well. A "goal" and an assist first half. Got worse as game wore on.
But poor second half, actually we dodged a bullet today, he was there for the taking, way too much space for that hun reject McKay.
I was screaming for AR to be hooked mid second half.

Got to agree here. Doesn’t have finesse but has guts in abundance. Also think he gets better with a run if games, trouble for him is we just don’t have the luxury of time for players to transition in. You need to hit the ground running in Anges team.

Something I see a lot of people say because he’s a lot of blood and thunder as well, but skinning Hearts players and side foot finish on his left peg? Keepy uppy in the box left footed half volley goal? And then his passing. Some of the passes he makes is insane.

It’s not something I think can be laid at his door a lack of finesse, because he’s shown plenty of it. His passing is cultured as *.
