    Time will tell.

    On the Mowbray v Lennon. Is there anything you noticed about Mowbray to make you side with him over what you've seen of Lennon's management so far?

    We spend plenty and pay good wages so I would think it highly likely we will bring in a player or two in January.

    We have bought a new team this summer FFs!!

    You can't compare. Lennon has only had z handful of games. TM managed well at hubs and in the championship for a few years.

    James Milner cost City £26million, Mesut Ozil cost Madrid £12million. I know who I think is the better player and it's not the over-priced Englishman.

    You can also apply that to Larsson and Flo.

    January is a terrible time to buy players, nobody wants to disrupt their team halfway through a season so you either get horsefucked on the transfer fee or end up buying crap players. Nobody sells their best players in the middle of the campaign.

    I said that I knew there were always exceptions. Man City pay over the odds for everyone so dont think they should be included in any comparisons.

    I for one am glad how they have done for Celtic bringing in a whole new squad and still balancing our books and keeping a little for January if needed. I think the signing have been generally very good when you think of the internationals we have signed and the potrential sell on value if they prove they are as good as we hope.
    I think we can be assured that the board did try for a big signing but they either didnt want to come or wanted stupid money, I also am glad they didnt fall into that trap. I think we have enough to win the league if not we have this merry go round to go through again in Jan.

    Hail Hail support the Bhouys that are here.

    Got to be a bit realistic here lads. This, imo, has been a fantastic transfer window for us.

    Last season:

    Boruc
    Hinkel
    Loovens
    Thompson
    O'Dea
    McGeady
    Brown
    N'Guemo
    Kamara/Samaras
    Fortune
    Keane

    This season

    Forster
    Cha
    Majstorovic
    Hooiveld
    Izaguirre
    Ledley
    Jaurez
    Kayal
    Forrest
    Hooper
    Stokes

    Now considering were £20+ short for our non efforts in Europe I would say that is some pretty decent dealing by the board and Lenny.

    Obviously Aiden, Artur and Keano will be missed but Forrest and McCourt look like they are able replacements and in Stokes and Hooper I truly believe we have a solid 35/40 goal per season strike force.

    Would have liked to get another CB in but no point in looking back.

    Essentially replaced every area of the park with quality and made a £7.5m profit?

    * the 'blue chip' signing. Aye it would be great to see Keano pull on the hoops again same with Bellamy. They had there chances though and none of them done the business when it mattered. If they wanna pick up their mega bucks and play with average teams then its not our loss.

    Hail Hail.

    The league was done when we signed him. He got lennon his job and he put bums on seats when the league was done.

    I think between getting Keane in and Lenny taking over saved us from third place.

    By what logic? You can't say an example should be excluded just because it proves you wrong.

    i know that we where not that good but 3rd place, i going a bit far now

    when lennon took over he said himself it all about making rangers wait till they have won the leauge, cause it was over by then and lennon knew it himself

    so yeah just like bnellamy getting a big name in who wanted a wee 5 months playing in the SPL did not win us the leauge

    leauge was not done when keane came to the club thats pure pish

    the league was over when lennon took over, not saying it was lennon's fault just incase someone comes in with that but lennon had no pressure on him

    Players purchased = £9.88m
    Players sold = £15.5m
    Profit = £5.62m

    Wages for incoming players = £120k per week (guesstimate)
    Wages for outgoing players = £160k per week (guesstimate)
    Profit = £40k per week

    If we win the league, then it's been a good window and business well done.

    There are questions raised, however;

    1) What was Lennons transfer budget - for fees & wages?
    2) Was his transfer budget based entirely around the sale of players?
    3) Or, was there a certain amount allocated for transfer budget + the amounts recouped in sales?

    The answers to these questions then bring about further questions, namely;

    4) * happened with the additional millions?
    5) Will the additional millions be spent in January?
    6) Other than failed attempts for David James, Sol Campbell, Jimmy Bullard, Craig Bellamy and Newcastles Steven Taylor, did we try & fail for any others and is this part of the reason we still have a considerable amount of funds in the kitty.

    And the final question;

    7) Will we, the fans, ever find out the answers to these questions?

    Dunno about you guys but I'm confident of answering question 7 myself!
