Great info…..they seem to be very smart and have adapted to their environments.
Once seen a video clip( can’t find it)of a seal being chased by two orcas. The seal just managed to escape by jumping out the water right onto a floating ice patch. The seal lay there in the sun, as if to say ‘up yours’.
The two orcas circled the ice float and within seconds disappeared and then appeared again 200 metres out and swam in unison towards the ice float creating a surge of water that lifted the seal off the ice and into the water….dinner was served.

Beautiful sight to see. Breaching like that in those kind of areas is usually to send a long distance message to the rest of its Pod. Clearly feels a bit lost. The bigger the splash the longer the message will travel

Aye the clicks they use in the open ocean wouldn’t be of much use in the Clyde as they would be absorbed by the sandbanks and shallow basin (in relative terms)

Think there's an other thread on this, but as said it is horrific, didn't have the sound on till a bit later so didn't hear him shouting but read the info on it. But can't believe the shark was clubbed to death.

Also my brother said he was reading stuff about how people were celebrating it because he's Russian, * sake.

I did read on it that it said Tiger Sharks are 2nd behind Great White for bites, but did mention wasn't known as the more fatal kinds.

As said I am absolutely * scared of them. Was snorkeling in the Caribbean many moons ago and was getting all the lovely views, we were a good bit out but you could still see the bottom of the ocean. Saw an Eel, not sure if it was a Moray, then saw 2 clownfishes chasing each other through reefs, then I heard someone shouting about a shark and the boat guy who was snorkeling pointed down and stupid me looked under and saw this * huge thing at the bottom just motionless. He said it was a baby shark but it was fkn massive, easily 7 or 8 feet by the looks of it. So that was me getting back to the boat, but I was panicky and I'm not great at the whole breathing under water thing and this never helped, was always looking behind me, lol.

When I got back home I contacted a shark expert and they told me we should have been out the water immediately as even though Caribbean Reef sharks aren't notorious for attacks if it felt threatened could have attacked. And he told me it was defo * if my size description was right.
