You are absolutely correct that 90% or more want various obvious gun control measures like tighter background checks, no strawman purchases, close the gun show loophole etc. However it is axactly the fact that over 90% of Americans want these kind of gun control measures and yet nothing happens that makes American look depending on how you look at it as stupid or their system of government as corrupt. Personally I go with a corrupt system of government.

On another note this whole topic just underscores how out of touch with reality a segment of the American population is when it comes to terrorism. The US spends insane amounts of money to bomb and kill all over in a supposed war on terrorism and uses fear at home to keep Americans willing to foot the enormous bill. The reality is domestic terrorism is way more of a threat to the average American citizen. But hey no worries no need to get too focused on that problem.
An insane example of the above is the fact that currently a potential terrorist who is on the US no fly watch list can indeed legally buy guns and ammo in the US!!! That pretty much says it all for me.

Up till yesterday there have been 355 mass shootings in the US this year with 462 dead and 1,314 injured! and lets remember that is just mass shootings which are when 4 or more people were killed or injured.

The guy shot up his place of work did he not? It seems obvious that the motive was personal then.

But of course he's a Muslim so suddenly that justifies viewing terrorism as a motive with no real basis for believing it. Wonder if there would be any doubt it wasn't a religiously motivated attack if it was a couple of white Christians instead of Muslims.

EDIT: So apparently the guy was in contact with some radical wanted by the FBI...6 months ago. Other than that, he showed no signs of radicalism. And this means the authorities believe he may have been radicalised...conevient is the perfect way to describe it. Watch this space.

Anyway, as far as US gun laws go...doesn't matter how many times * like this happens, it won't change. As long as the NRA fill the pockets of the lawmakers nothing will change.
