Fair play mate, I’ve no seen anybody admit that in a while. * I was actually arguing with about it at the time in the pub hands down denying it.

 

One thing I hadn't thought about until Ange said tonight that this title had "taken every ounce of him" was that he'd come here straight from the middle of the Japan season. He flew over, started planning and working during his week's quarantine, then went straight into preseason and European qualifiers. Been working for well over a year straight.

Kind of hard to explain how we ended up winning the league from where we were.

 

Well comrades, I gave my assessment and opinion of big Ange when he was given the job. Having lived in Oz for 30 years I knew we had a cracker. His reputation for winning and demanding the most from his players is iconic down here.
He's enlightened Scottish football but most of all, the Ģreat Glasgow Celtic! Obviously there were doubters ( probably millions of them) but AP has done the job and done it with style. Just want to know why he hasn't been given a long term contract yet coz the English vultures will be flying around already?

 

I'm fairly certain every manager in recent history has been on a 12 month rolling contract. Rodgers was brought in on the same deal initially but then got a longer term deal wouldn't be surprised to see the same happen again

 

And he signed up very quickly to do it as well, Howe said no and hours later he was manager. He had to move quickly, didn’t have time to plan what he’d do.

When we had the wobble and bad start with Calmac and Kyogo getting injured, he had to do it quickly without his key players. The next time Kyogo was out, he’d solved that issue.

He had to completely change the ethos of a club in disarray, make a new team with the background being in disarray and get a very fickle, majorly hurting angry fanbase onside, while doing it all.

The job he’s done is insane. I don’t think there’s another manager we’ve had that could do it.

Closest was MON but the board at that time was very good and had a plan in place to help him. Ange had nothing to back him up. We didn’t even have a proper guy to finalise transfers when he took over, we were all over the place.

He’s dragged us forward so much it’s unreal.

 

It’s always been that since O’Neill’s last couple of seasons, Rodgers contract was the exception and that’s because he had the reputation that we needed that protection

 

Most of you want him for your dad. I would be content if he was my brother Imagine having a big cuddly bear of a brother like that I absolutely adore him

I keep thinking how his and our success has gone down internationally. Can you imagine the impact in both Australia and Japan? Bringing a whole new following to the table

The things he could achieve with Celtic could be stuff of legends.

I hope we get to see it happen and this board give him everything he asks for

I’ve enjoyed following Celtic more than my own club and National team this past year. It’s been an awesome ride (as we predicted) and I can’t wait to see Ange have a proper crack at the Champions League. Congratulations to all you lifers who had to endure the past * show. I’ll have a tipple for you all tonight
