hate him, but he's improving a lot this year.

doubt he'll win any majors any time soon, but he's becoming the type of player you can never rule out.

He now plays a guy who has won his last 23 matches!

Yeah, he now plays Del Potro. He's won his last four tournaments. He man-shamed Roddick in the final of Los Angeles a few weeks ago.

Del Potro has to be the favourite.

Hopefully federer wins, don't think anyone would grudge him that.

if he doesn't i want Roddick, he's got a great sense of humour, and the best serve i have ever seen.

Have to say I thought Sampras' serve was much more effective.

    maybe mate.

can't really remember sampras serve, i remember him winning everything though lol.

under pressure though, i think i would want Federers serve, he also has the best forehand i've ever seen.

the way he just steps into it and unleashes it is crazy.

But Federer's forehand is the first thing to go when he's under real pressure, as proven in his past four meetings with Rafa at the French Open.

Sampras' serve was much more consistent, harder to read and he could get aces off his second serve. He was almost impossible to break most of the time.

Agreed about his forehand, when he loses it, it usually costs him.

but when its on form, its the best forehand OAT imo.

do you think andy murray needs to work on his second serve a bit more ? that's his main weakness i think.

Oh no doubt, when his forehand is firing it's a thing of beauty.

Muzza's second serve isn't good enough at the moment and will be picked off by a player like Nadal.

What a game it is I'm watching here with Davydenko and Muller. Tie break with Muller serving for the match.

He's won it. The man from Luxemburg!

This means that Murray goes to number 4 in the world if he wins his quarter final match.

Another big name out the way for Andy. But he gets Nadal in Semi's if he wins does he not?

The young guy he's up against will be a huge test. He's won his last four tournaments, as I've mentioned - two on clay, and then his last two on hard court in preperation for the US Open. He's beaten the likes of Gasquet and Roddick on his current 23 match winning streak.

Currently watching the Andreev-Federer match. Looks like it's heading into a fifth, just like the Djokovic match earlier.
