It also seriously lacked fight and physicality.

No doubt we’ve got good midfielders but it’s went stale. Needs an injection of both athleticism and creativity.

Celtic could make a move for an out of favour West Ham United youngster, sources have told 67 Hail Hail.

Brendan Rodgers is quietly going about his business to assemble a squad capable of winning a fifth straight league title.

According to Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey, Celtic do hold an interest in Andy Irving.

Bailey told 67 Hail Hail that West Ham sources have confirmed that Irving isn’t in Graham Potter’s plans at the London Stadium and could be allowed to leave.

Celtic aren’t the only side interested though, with Bailey adding that Scottish Premiership rivals Hearts are also monitoring Irving along with a number of Championship sides in England.

Irving is a Scottish footballer playing for West Ham United. He predominantly plays as a midfielder and began his career with Hearts.

Loan spells with Berwick Rangers and Falkirk followed before he made a move to Germany to sign for Turkgucu Munchen. He spent one season there before having to leave due to the club’s financial issues and sign for Austrian outfit Austria Klagenfurt.

He has been at West Ham since 2023 and made 11 appearances in total, before making his senior Scotland debut in 2025.

Usually the uninspiring ones come up over the more inspiring ones.

Massimo Donati from Milan, Jiri Jaroskik from Chelsea, Tommy Gravesen from Real Madrid. Absolutely shat over by Barry Robson and Paul Hartley.

2nd choice £1.5m MK Dons player panic buyed clearly lost out on our main target Riley McGree? Matt O’* Riley.

There’s been a ton of them through the years

It's probably no coincidence that they played better in Europe for us, as they were more accustomed to that style.

Donati - Winner vs Shakhtar and won the flick on for the McManus goal vs Milan
Jarosik - Won the free kick for Naka's goal vs Man Utd and also scored vs Shakhtar
    Schlupp vs Bayern as well

It's finding the right guys who can adapt as you said. The O'Riley's and Hooper's of this world were probably more hungry to prove themselves, over guys who have made a fortune in the EPL.

Has he been properly linked via an actual source?

Seems to all be stemming from 67HailHail and Football Insider, which aren't reliable.

The fact they've called him a youngster there tells me that article is nonsense.

    He's 25 going on 40:giggle1:

Barry Robson goal against Barcelona and all round performance, Paul Hartley away to Spartak to get us qualified.

and the grandaddy of them all, mind Stephen Pearson against Barcelona, playing Left wing? One of the best ever CL performances for us.

I’ll add in my favourite fact for my fanboying, Liam Scales - most MotM awards for Celtic in the CL ever. And people are that uninspired with him they weren’t happy watching him doing it.

    Luke McCowan this season….

Honestly, I dunno * all about this guy. But you sign guys to make an impact, not for a bit of hype
