    Wine is fine

    But whiskey's quicker

    Suicide is slow with liquor

Ozzy's song Suicide Solution kinda sums up her situation.

I agree with this. People who nothing nice to say, especially about someone who is now dead and therefore unable to speak up for themselves, should say nothing at all. It's pretty much in the same vein as the scum that try and darken the name of Jock Stein. We don't like it when they do that, so it's a bit hypocritical of some people on here to besmirch Amy's name, now that she has gone and can't defend herself from the accusations.

I know it's a bit of a far fetched example to use, but you understand what I'm saying, surely.

Dear *. Unfounded allegations that were fabricated years after both said events and Jock Stein's death, versus common knowledge that Winehouse was a junkie for years before it finally got the better of her, not to mention that she actually wrote and released a song priding herself on not going to rehab! Terrible example.

People saying things like "rot in *" are obviously * but she was very far from blameless.

I've already acknowledged it wasn't the greatest example. I was hoping you'd get the point of what I was saying, without analyzing everything. Obviously not. I'm not denying she was a junkie, I'm only asking for people to have some respect, like we ask for Big Jock. She made some big mistakes in her life and the success she had at such a young age definitely had en effect on her, but the lassie was still a human being at the end of the day and I'm sure her family would be devastated reading some of these comments.

I respect her as a very talented and great artist , but young people love the romance of a dead hero , dont do this for her ...tell it as it is ...she was gifted she had talent she choose drugs , shes now dead ..the sun is shineing today BUT SHE IS DEAD .

I went round to my parents' house last night and the Sunday Mail was there. I noticed something. A dead junkie pop star gets 80% of the front headline whereas 93 (body count at the time) dead children gets a wee tiny side column. Since when does a dead junkie's life mean more than nearly 100 childrens lives. That really annoyed me.

She chose her path, she paid the consequences. I have no sympathy whatsoever for her. Her family, yes, not her.

We all have choices, she made her choice. She was also really starting to take her fans for granted and treating them with utter disrespect. Turning up completely * drunk to gigs etc.

I didn't have a good word to say about her when she was alive and i feel exactly the same now she is dead. Nothing has changed. Now only did she choose her path, she also had the wealth to afford the best treatment possible but chose not to sort herself out. Most drug addicts don't have that luxury.

She was always heading that way anyway.

You know, i see that sort of thing all the time. People who didn't have a good word to say about a person in life and had no respect for them in life, suddenly being all sombre and respectful when they die. Saying how it is so tragic.

What's the point? If someone didn't respect me in life, i certainly wouldn't want their respect just because i am Dead.

I couldn't stand Amy Winehouse when she was alive. I felt she was an absolute waster. Someone who really didn't know how lucky and privileged they were. She deserves everything she has got. End of story. She poisoned her veins with filth and chose to do so. She was known for being a drug addict more than anything else.

Infact i would suggest the event of her death has been a better message to young people than anything she ever did in her life. For obvious reasons. At least by her dying it shows young people how you are likely to end up if you take that *. If she was still alive, she would still be on tv and on stage etc blabbering like the junkie she was being the worst example of success, possible.

    Good riddance i say.

None of this has been mentioned in the news but I don't think Amy tried to kill herself. Since November last year there has been a massive UK and ROI heroin dry up and just recently stronger stuff has been available. There's loads of info on the net about the dry up but I know first hand about the quality because one of my best mates has a daily smack habit. He makes decent money and has never done anything snide or dodgy to get money for a bag so I don't judge him harshly, though I wish he would stick to methadone and give up the kit.

Towards late November I'd heard in one drug info forum that even Pete Docherty was having bother getting good smack, so I recon she was the victim of a sudden increase in smack purity and a lack of tolerance of opiates due to the dry up.
