The best I've ever seen - Messi. My favourite player to watch, at his best - Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho's brain would conjur up things that no other player, past or present would do in a professional football match. Then he would go and do it. The Barca crowd absolutely lapped him up when he was at his peak and rightly so; a genius, an entertainer and a wonderful and effective footballer.

2 Figo had everything skill style class and bagged some top goals.

none of the above to be honest. My favourite non-Celtic players i've seen in my lifetime would be Gabriel Batistuta, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Davor Suker, Taffarel, Del Piero, Maldini, Nesta and Totti.

Brazilian Ronaldo, Messi, Iniesta, Ronaldinho, Zidane, Xavi, Roberto Carlos and Rivaldo are the only players that I watch/watched games just to see.

I would have loved to have seen a team of

    Kahn
    Cafu Desailly Lucio Carlos
    Xavi Zidane
    Messi Ronaldinho Rivaldo
    Ronaldo

Playing together, imagine it :notworthy:35: would only need 3 subs Thuram, Iniesta and Ibrahimovic.

Ronaldinho is by a mile my favourite non Celtic player. The guy was absolutely superb, a class above anyone else when he was at his peak in my opinion. I was actually quite gutted when he went to Milan and started to take less of an interest.

If pushed for another, then Clarence Seedorf, great player even when coming to the end of his career. Havn't seen much of him since he has moved to Brazil though. And he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I remember him telling the reporter not to judge our fans on the guy that ran on the Park to have a go at Dida. Can't remember his exact words, but it was a compliment, and after a last minute defeat, tells you everything you need to know about the man.

The original Ronaldo. Incredible. Most prolific game changer I've ever seen.

My three favourite players of all time are Henrik Larsson, Paul Scholes and Xavi. Since Xavi is the only one on the poll, I voted him. 7 La Ligas, 2 Champions Leagues, 2 European Championships and a World Cup for Barcelona and Spain, as probably the most important player in the team for both of them.

Only going with retired players as i can still watch the current players.

My favorite player ever is Ronaldo, even with his bad knee injuries he was out of this world. Shame he never won the Champions League

Special mentions to Maldini, Hagi, Batigol, Scholes and Pep Guardiola!

A few years ago I'd have said between Zidane, Ronaldinho and Bergkamp. However I feel Messi has overtaken them all.

And for all time players, I think only Maradona was better, possibly Cryuff. But Messi is certainly, my favourite player of all time, mainly because I've watched him since he started.

I think in an other 2 or 3 years, Messi will have surpassed everyone to ever play football.
