    Ronaldinho was just a joy to watch. His teeth, hair and smile made him stand out before he even touched a ball. Then he was incredibly exciting when he did. Its a real shame that his career ended the way it has.

    Too many brazilian players careers end like that. Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Adriano, Kaka, Emerson, Rivaldo, Robinho, Gilberto, Maicon, Julio Baptista, Dida. When you think of great European players, they all seem to make it into their mid 30s still playing well or at big clubs. Too many of the Brazilians seem to struggle to get to 30 and if they do they're nowhere near the player they were at their peaks. Lazy *! Can only think of Carlos, Lucio, Aldair and Cafu who made it into their mid 30s still at the top. Even some lesser Brazilians dont manage it, remember Vagner Love, Daniel Carvalho, Denilson, Cicinho, Elano, Melo and Carlos Alberto that played for Porto? and Juninho that played for us.

    For me it has to be Gianluigi Buffon. Even though his club are fuds he is the very epitome of a classy, top quality professional footballer. Incredible goalkeeping skills, great leader, well spoken character and loyal.

    Javier Zanetti is a very close 2nd.
