I think we would be better keeping a hold of him, especially if we make it into the CL. Neil always uses Ki when possible in Europe. His style of play is perfectly suited to frustrate teams with clever passing as well as a danger from long distance. His match intelligence during a big european night will be massive.

Also he is one of our most experience international players. Having played in some very big stage games, his experience there as well would be invaluable.

    1) For a player that is not first choice, he played a * of a lot of games last season. How do you know how Neil Lennon see's him? has he told you personally he is not first choice? Don't come back with "he didnt play when everyone was fit" Ki keeps a strange international schedule and gets worn out and jaded at different times of the season from European players. I remember both times his dip in form over the past 2 seasons aligned with his hectic Asian games and international schedule.

    2) Im am sorry, but our accounts do not show we invest money we recieve in transfer fee's straight away. Often tranfer fee's are not even paid straight away, even if its a full up front fee is it not uncommon for it to take 3-6 months for a buying club to action an invoice.

    3) I rate good football players. I am perplexed at how someone like Brown gets more plaudits for his terrible style of football over someone like Ki. But hey ho, like I said no matter the facts people here will slate him. Infact your comment is just a tad condecending as how would I be a Ki fan? I rate him as a good player and as a life long Celtic fan I want my team to retain both good talent and commercially valuable assets too.:shamrock:

Oh look, another smart arsed comment. :50:

I am a money guy, I tend to think of all financial raminfications when it comes to something like this. After all, Celtic is a business as well as a football club. Good financial management will keep us alive and kicking.

I would not sell him, I know money talks but I believe his style of play will help us in Europe, which will bring in revenue. He also is on a very low paid contract (I would renew, if possible). The apparent figures suggest he could make AS MUCH (not saying he will) as 3-4 million USD per year in revenue for Celtic. so if you times that by 2, add in what we paid, and how much his talent may be worth (i know people will have different views on his talent) then that is a rough figure for conducting business. These are the lines Lawell will think along, in my opinion.

Don't be silly mate, we all know Messi's style of play would not work in the SPL. Brown > SPL MESSI. Or so some would shout on this forum. :celt_2:

Yep, same people all the time. Forcing their opinions down other peoples throats. Coming up with smart * and borderling abusive comments to belittle people into thinking their opinion is less important. :50:

The way I see it is this, we could force a better style of football in the SPL now. Brown is a terrible terrible player and sooner or later no players will fit the SPL style unless they come with his skill set. It is a bad day when Brown's football works better than a player like Ki's.

Again, fully fit how do you know he is not a first team choice? Has Neil told you this? Whenever he has been fully fit and on form, he is in the team.

Also, one of his biggest fans? So you are just battering down other peoples opinions for the sake of trolling then? Would surprise me. tbh

with the * we have bought recently Rasmussen bangura murphy kwilson why sell ki when there's a chance we will buy some fud of there ilk.
Ki is a great player and a has been a big part of our team over last few seasons Lenny should stop playing him in positions that don't suit him we all know ki can't track back and put in a tackle without Getn booked or booooed. so why play him in that role. Oh yeah I know to accommodate other players that on merit shouldn't be in the 1st team that week. And if we don't get a CB we will lose big vic for these exact reasons.

if s korea beat gb/england in the olympics, then you can add another £1mill onto his price. £8mill+ sell on clause.

good money for a player who can't get a regular start in the team.

    * me. Ho, i rate Ki highly but as you can't put a figure on his head shows you're too one sided on this matter.

I honestly don't care anymore whether we sell him or keep him. It's a win win. If we keep him he is a good player who will give us a different option and he opens up a market in Asia for us. If we sell him then we will get good cash for a player that isn't guaranteed a start and we can reinvest the money. We all know this. I'm bored of it now.
