Re report of waiting till confirmation we get past Elfsborg:

I could understand that logic of a financially cautious approach - but surely if you had to pick ONE you would pick the striker (greater need with Hooper gone) than the winger surely?
Also note that the comments from various Celtic sources - Lenny, Parker - that we were trying to get 'one or two' in before the deadline.
I doubt if we will register Boerrigter unless we absolutely do not get a striker in - if we do, striker will get registered for the Elfsborg games.

Alfie looks like he could be what we're looking for - certainly got us all excited over the prospect

Sounds like a direct replacement for Gary Hooper; he's gone on record as saying he'd return to Scotland to play for Celtic and not just come back 'for old time's sake' - we can offer him something Herenveen cannot - Champions League Football and the chance to be a Champion in his place of football.

I anticipate the deal will be wrapped up tomorrow, all this talk of waiting till we negotiate the qualifiers is rubbish - Celtic will want their men in pronto especially to help fill the chasm left by Gary Hooper.

Him and this Dutch lad and I'll be happy - if that Lowry rumour is true, snap him up too he is good, and would suit our signing policy.

5-7 million range sounds like a lot for one player, but this guy could be an expception..

 

They're only after 5M euros (£4.3M) apparently. Could maybe get him for £3.5M upfront and 800k add ons or something.
