So we persist with Taylor who hasn't had a good game this season, doesn't suit the managers system and was possibly the worst Celtic player on the pitch yesterday. Making him feel his place is untouchable is not going to help here.

Out of our options he’s a million times better than Bernabei, if that there is no doubt. I’d rather bring Montgomery back than give this guy a game, he is absolutely brutal.

Do you think we will actually sign a LB in the January window and when does the rumour factory begin?:fear:

Not disagreeing with you on Bernabei but just out of interest which of the basics do you think Taylor does well? Bcoz so far this season he can't even be trusted to take a throw in

I honestly think he should have a run in the team. Taylor has been ducking awful and had his chance.

In the post match comments last night, Rodgers said that Taylor has been crook with the flu, and that taking him off when they did was always something that they had intended to do, if possible.

If that is true, it's telling that Bernabei wasn't even on the bench in the anticipation of being needed. Rather BR preferred the option of bringing Ralston on to be played out of position instead. At the time it seemed like making do in the moment/situation, but if it was something they had planned for/intended to do and to not have supposedly the back up LB on the bench... really just spells out just how much the writing is on the wall for Bernabei.

Aye if he can't even make the bench when our * 1st choice left back is ill then he's got no chance here.

Ah well only 7 games until window opens and we sign a actual left back and hopefully never need to see that useless * Taylor again either

I know it's been limited time but he's never impressed me.

We need another left back and it'll be Bernabei that moves on to make room for them.

January is the time to look to sell him get him back over to Argentina or at least to someone that plays with wing backs as no one will sign him as a left back.

He could potentially offer something as an offensive wing back in a different system but not one like ours.

    Terrible signing tbh.

It said it all in pre season when after he scored that weird as * goal Rodgers was basically laughing at how bad he was.

Has done some good things but he's erratic and positionally woeful. Never a full back anyway. But probably not technically good enough to be the kind of winger we need.

If he doesn’t cut the mustard then sell him, even at a loss just to get rid of the deadwood.

Hopefully we will be able to sell him in January. Just not good enough to play left back for us not even close.

We hit a snag with that plan usually when the deadwood figure out they’re deadwood on a bigger wage than they’ll ever move onto.

i’d loan him to a league his attacking prowess might attract some attention, because he has got some good attacking attributes from LB. We just need to hope during that loan nobody attacks down his wing and realises he has zero defensive awareness.

And it’s mad thats not an exaggeration either, he has no defensive awareness, position or ability at all. He’s a winger that isnt good enough on the wing so got moved further down the pitch. The one thing he has defensively is nicking infront of a player early to * the ball but wven that is him being more eager to go forward and majority of attempts he doesn’t succeed and is out of position.

We’re so * at South Americans man, been screaming for years to take a gander at that market. I’d rather not though, in a gallery of Van Gogh’s we find the Jannys scribble on the wall.

The bhoy has been here 18 months and apart from a couple of goals, he has done * all.
How long do you pay him good wages to contribute very little, totally agree about our record in the South American market has been poor, transfer fee and 18 months wages is a lot of money to have squandered.

I wouldn't punt him. Not yet.

Loan him out to the one of the lower end league sides where he's guaranteed game time, and also a place where he can't get himself into trouble.

There might be player there yet. Good enough to ever be first choice? Probably not. But maybe good enough to come back with more experience and enough in his legs to be effective cover.
