In Deco’s defense, FFP assessments by Tebas and La Liga prevented registering of many players due to salary cap reductions. Genuinely think the entire left back saga is gonna bite us in the * when we see what Valle becomes.
Not saying he is gonna be playing for Barca, Liverpool, PSG etc winning the UCL on the regular. But for our level, we have missed one here.

KT on a free and Valle at £5m would have been an excellent option for another two seasons. Valle would learn a lot, develop, play in UCL and I bet would then have sold for a healthy profit.

We didn't pay anything like 6m for Bernabei we paid about 4.5m euro which is less then 4m sterling. In addition we sold Bernabei for 5.5m euro so we actually made 1m euro profit on him despite him proving to be a flop with us.

 

He's a good bit overrated by our support, wasn't good enough to regularly displace Greg Taylor of all people.

I do think he'll go on to be a decent player mind you.

 

He wasn't happy with the game time he was getting and I think we actually saw a fair bit of him for a youngster. No way he'd be happy sharing the stage with Tierney.

Fair play to him but I don't think this one is on the club.
