See in the short term if he does come and Forrest makes it through the two spflpl fixtures before the Maribor game, looking half decent, we may actually have something to hit Maribor with - Tonev on the left and Forrest on the right. Instead of right now where we are devoid of attacking options.

If it's a loan with a view to a permanent contract I have no problem with it. I'd rather we shell out the majority of our money on a striker.

Neither have I but we should be looking to get a few permanent signings in as well. We need to get rid of 2 strikers before we bring in another one IMO, no point keeping 4 or 5 when only 1 is really going to play in the out and out centre forward position. If we play a 4-2-3-1 that is.

People need to remember why players like Berget and Tonev got moves to the EPL. Good Performances in smaller leagues. How many players have had a bad half season, or season in the EPL, only to have success elsewhere?

Yeah of course, permanent signings are a must as well:50: The thing is, with that formation there is a lot of flexibility. So 4 or 5 strikers may not be a bad thing. Look at Griffiths, he's being shifted out to the right. Pukki might get put out there as well - I actually think he could do a job out there. Stokes is capable playing behind the striker.

Only one striker in that formation, but there may be more than one striker on the pitch.

Precisely. Tonev and Berget are the types of players we will be going for, and that's fair enough. Promising players who have maybe just made a bad career move and it hasn't worked out.

This is exactly what everyone was told to expect when Deila signed on as manager. He takes young players who haven't had the best of times recently and brings the best out of them. Then when we're linked with these players people lose their minds for some reason.

I also don't see the problem with loan deals as long as there is the option to buy. I'm sure everyone would have loved it if we'd loaned Bangura or Balde. Or maybe not, maybe we'd rather have paid the £7m for Miku.

I know but it's not their natural positions and I'd rather we had wingers out in those positions who can really perform in that area. If players are sitting about not playing as well they will begin to get * off and no point in having unhappy players kicking about the dressing room either.

I'd sell Balde and then bring another in. Leaving us with Stokes, Griffiths, Pukki new forward, unless I am forgetting someone but don't think so. 4 is plenty.

Aye, you're right. Hopefully Balde will be off, then I'd get shot of Stokes or Griffiths.

    New Striker
    Pukki
    Stokes/Griffiths
    Fridjonsson (loan him out)

    That would be fine.

Believe me, he isn't. He claimed that brown would be stripped of the captaincy and shown the door and that Watt is and will continue to be our best striker this season.

Don't understand all the negativity to be honest, no risk loan deal for what looks to be a decent winger who could turn out to be excellent for us, and if not we pap him back to Villa, no money lost. Surely better than signing another Boerrigter?

Only thing is, he's a bit of a greedy *. Hopefully Ronny will coach that out of him if he joins.

Not sure what he's like. Looks like he has a decent shot on him, but don't know how quick or skilful he is.

Doesn't make sense to sign him, he already turned us down for a team destined to finish bottom half of the PL and our signing policy is bring them in then sell to the bpl 2 years later, nobody will be interested after his * season with Villa.

We need to sign somecunt who is playing a blinder in an obscure league, fees will always be low and we could be getting a class player.

Rejected us to join the EPL. Meh! That's forgivable.

Don't know anything about him but from his YT videos it looks like he's got two good feet. Scored a couple of screamers with the left and right peg.
