A bad signing for us overall and good to be getting him off the wage bill, but yeah don't feel like he really did anything wrong to deserve any grief, started well enough, got injured, our whole season in general turned into a * show, then a new manager came in and didn't suit the style of play he wanted.

Definitely but I hope he gets his career back on track. I like him and his attitude, he wasn’t good enough, his style of game was never going to be suitable for us and we shouldn’t have brought him in.

But he burst a gut trying to adapt to try and be a guy we could call on, under Ange definitely, he got the armband pre-season Ange’s first games because of how hard he was trying.

I don’t mind that, he tried and failed but he * tried. That’s down to us at that point not doing our homework.

It’s guys like Ntcham I resent, who had all the talent to do it but didn’t try at all. Guys who aren’t it for us or not quite good enough but try to be and put the work in, wish all the best to.

I thought he was lazy half arsed * tbh.

Not sure where this tried his best came from.

He's clearly talented but made Viduka look like a model professional

I thought he tried like *, 2nd season under Ange definitely, first year Lenny Covid style aye unfit overweight. Didn’t take a break that summer, came back a stone lighter, trained like *, everytime under Ange he came on he tried to press and run about and put the work in. He was just so * at it.

Injured himself against Betis think it was doing it. * was built to stand in a box and move a couple yards at most to tap it in.

He tried to adapt for me, he just didn’t have it in him to do it.

Viduka man, see if he had any semblance of a professional mentality, he would have been at the top of the game. Alex Ferguson had a look at him and decided not to because of his mentality. Imagine him fully focused under somebody like that, he was one of the best players I’ve ever seen for us even with what he was like. Under Barnes for ffs.

Barnes would have had a job and looked half decent if Henke didn’t break his leg, because he’d have had the two up front. Madness.

Not his fault he was handed a once in a career style contract despite not being anywhere near good enough to get it, horrific signing but sort of sums up that covid season.

Fans are fickle, demand loyalty but when it goes the other way expect players to turn away large sums of money for the benefit of the club. It was entirely our (or whoever sanctioned the transfer fee and wages) that we were stuck with a player nowhere near the standard required, or one that would ever fit into how we want to play.

Funny thing is, that happened twice in his lifetime. We signed him from West Ham on a decent contract.

I guess my point still remains, was shocking business :56:

I’m the same as you, quite like him even if he was useless. I could be wrong but I don’t think he’s ever really come across as a bad egg, or a problem for whatever manager has had him, just not good enough and not the type of striker that will ever do a job here.

Ange giving him the armband first couple of friendlies he had cements my opinion of his attitude for me, Ange’s judgement with attitude and personality was outstanding and players having the right stuff in that respect was massive for him.

Picked out Ajeti as that guy until Calmac got back. I felt like he was busting a gut, think Ange must have thought it round then when we were threadbare as *.

Hope he does well now, I don’t blame him for it not working out. I blame us for signing him, it was never going to.

Always thought he'd have been a decent poacher in a 4-4-2 but not he kind of team we're going to have any time soon. Hopefully it works out for him, thought he seemed like a good guy.

Always thought he tried his best and was just never suited to us, then with covidball and injuries the writing was on the wall, sure he will find form and goals again elsewhere.

Has this actually been confirmed anywhere outside a couple of tweets with a handful of likes between them?

The transfer window in Turkey closes on September 15. Still plenty of time to finalize the deal. Hopefully, it will go through. Same thing happened with Giakoumakis to Atlanta. The scottish window closed, yet Atlanta finalized the deal a few days later.

The Swiss forward was left out of the matchday squad altogether, with reports coming out of Turkey explaining that boss Marius Sumudica is unsatisfied with Ajeti's fitness levels.

And when Sumudica was quizzed about Ajeti's absence, he replied with a brutal forewarning for the ex-Hoops man.

He growled: "Whoever wants to put his heart on the field must make sacrifices. Those who are not ready or don't want it can stay out. Because we don't have time."
