    Move on now. No bitterness.

I now don't think it was anywhere NEAR as advanced as was being reported. Medicals etc, when he is still in Swtizerland.

Will be interesting to see if he does actually find himself a "better" move. I suspect he might be one of these guys who think they're too good for Scottish football.

We are in danger of speculating wildly that the lad has pulled the plug on us very last minute in favour of a bigger pay day.

He very well may end up staying at West ham, move to a lesser club etc, but all we have so far is rumours and made up headlines to sell papers and get clicks.

It's been said a few times this window now in regards to ajeti and even Forster, but really I'm not going to be upset at a footballer choosing not to play in Scotland. We are hardly a world class league that sells itself well. The dream league for 40-50% of European footballers is the EPL (with the other 40-50% plumping for la Liga), hardly going to be upset over a player choosing that over us, be it for money or not. It's simply a better league, even the championship can be qualified as a better league in some respects and gives a better platform to the EPL than Scottish football does.

Hope he still comes to us, no loss if he doesn't.
My only real concern would be that Toney is the alternative and I'm not sold on that at all.

Hopefully we move on quickly. I said before let him have a day or 2 as it's a big decision. He's had his day or 2 now and doesn't seem to fancy it.

It appears we have other options so move on and get it done.

If he wants to take time to think his next move over fair play. If it's another poor choice then it affects his career. That would include a sidestep move to WBA in my opinion. Any bottom 6 team in the EPL strikers struggle cause their usually not scoring much and conceding a fair few at the other end. A move to us could kick start his confidence and get him playing regularly. He could then move in a few years, dare say to Germany where his game is probably more suited to.
Like FF, we move on. No anger or regrets. We look at the other eggs in the basket.

    Hail hail....

Plenty time to find a ST, the market is open until Oct, provided we hold on to Edouard..

A CB, LWB are the most essential, with a GK hopefully confirmed later today.

Looking for money then, no issues there’s plenty other options out there.

    Not really disappointed by this.

Albeit he only played 8 times for West Ham, he’s not scored a goal since leaving Basel. Due to the lack of game time, it could have taken him some time to get up to match speed. We move onto the next target - there is definitely better or similar options out there.

Would like to see a CB and LB in sooner though.

With his medical being booked for yesterday along with the GK youve got to think today would have been a double announcement. If he doesn’t feel like being part of it then we move on.

Personally think this came down to the option of making it permanent, he was prob willing to go to us if he was the main man and probably thought he could bang them in, re-establish himself and go back to West ham or orchestrate a move to a prem team next season from West ham. Possibly his opinion changed when he knew west ham were happy to kick him up to Glasgow permanently. Think we saw him all going to plan as the permanent replacement to edoaurd next season . Wouldn't take him on a pure loan deal

The perm option he still would have a say in that anyway.

Even if he just wanted to use us for a loan season, he can personally reject the perm deal if he wanted

Where does this guy play anyway if it went ahead?
    At the moment we have;
    Eddy
    Klimala
    Griffiths

We have started most Friendlies with 1 up top again... Even if we go 2 up top we have that and one on the bench.
If we are keeping Eddy then we are sorted in this position?
I mean Im happy with those 3, Polish paddy's only finding his feet and Griff will come good.
Cover for LB, RB & CB is where we need to look at!

Griffiths is unreliable, and Klimala is unproven. If we are playing with two strikers, we absolutely need another option. (I am discounting Bayo.)

We need a 4th striker as Bayo will likely be sent out on loan/punted. Young Aitchison needs to go out on loan again along with Afolabi so we don't even have the youth option.

A couple of injuries and we're * for cover with only 3. I'd be quite happy with a veteran with a decent record who's happy to just be backup.

Yeah I was discounting Bayo aswell! We are better going into this season in the Forward postion than last season IMO!

I mean if we sign another then yeah great!! But the season starts this weekend and we NEED cover for the whole back line, and all im hearing about is forwards. Just really frustrating...
