Think this could easily happen. Did he not say he'd like to come back eventually?

I'd love for that to happen. Sick of the days of coming for a last big wage packet. Good Tim, made his money, should be wanting to come home for the love of the club, first, money not being the main priority, anymore. He did that in Moscow tax free..

Would be refreshing to get a top talent like that back for a decent wage. Loan would be best I think..

    Aye.

That was from 2012 but I mind him saying it as soon as he left as well funnily enough:smiley-laughing002:

    It's certainly not impossible.

Think it would be a great return for him and I'd like to see it.

Time to look to the future. He also gets too many injuries. No thanks Aiden.

Can't for the life of me understand why people don't want him back. He's a big step up from any wide player at the club.

    I'd be over the moon.

He and Mackay-Steven ripping the pish out of defences. Who wouldn't want to see that?

See, I don't get that at all; just a flat-out no like that.

Yes, there are circumstances under which I wouldn't have him here (e.g. ego issues, high wage demands, and/or Ronny not feeling able to work with him), but it's completely senseless to just point-blank rule out the possibility of re-signing a highly-talented, versatile player who can play on either wing, and who tends to cut inside (like Ronny wants his attacking-mids to do), and who loves the club.

If he humbled himself and could agree to reasonable wages and Ronny's way of doing things, it'd be an absolute no-brainer. In terms of style and ability, he's precisely the kind of attacking-midfielder who'd be tailor-made for Ronny's system.

Sorry to burst the bubble but this along with the Hooper speculation is never going to happen. This is not a rumour it's more wishful thinking. We should have a thread for transfers we would like and put this Hooper, Messi, Ronaldo etc in there where it belongs.

If the price is right and he is willing to take a wage cut then his really would be a no-brainer for Celtic.

At 29 years old he is very experienced at European and International level, and he knows exactly what playing here is like. He'd improve our starting XI immediately.

On a loan deal, it's a belter. On a four year deal, with his inconsistencies i'd pass. At 29 i'd say he's played his best football in the hoops at the start of his career, maybe he can get back to that at Celtic, but i'd be very worried about bringing in Aiden McGeady, making him a top earner and then watch him fall out with folk simply because they don't bow down to his awesomeness, which really just equates to one simple trick that GMS, and Forrest can do.

It's certainly a good story for the papers and i'd be surprised if we weren't looking and i wouldn't be surprised if we've bid, Everton or Aiden's agent knocked it back and leaked it to the press to put his name out there.

He is over rated it's simple as that ... There was a time where I got the hype but his form dipped and we done well to get what we got at that time imo

He's a one trick pony who hasn't even improved on his final product "still"! He is also a huffy wee *

An injury free Forrest and I bet a on form gms this season will be better than any performance he will ever give us
