No one is saying you are a little * so relax.....you just need to take it on the chin....maybe she should have been honest with you but she probably thought she was doing you a favour.

We all tell white lies....put it down to experience and move on.

EDIT: What other advice are you expecting?

No one is saying that at all, I just think it is unfair on this girl who hasn't actually done a thing wrong...

If she falls out with her boyfriend and immediatley pulls another bloke she's hardly girlfriend material. Lucky escape.

Tbf to her mate maybe she was trying not to hurt your feelings when you asked her. It could have been a lot worse. Either go back and ask her if there is any chance now she is single (and risk getting a more severe rubber ear) or just forget it and find another bird you want a piece of.

Just trying to be honest mate. A girl not liking you but liking your mate isn't a huge problem in the grand scheme of things. You'll meet plenty of girls that like you.

    You'll be fine mate. :50:

I think its better to tell someone the truth rather than this letting them down lightly *, just say what you mean straight up, yes its a big kick in the balls but then the situation is resolved there and then.

The difference here is that said person is going to see her a lot as they work together, whereas getting told to * off in a club ain't so bad because you are likely to either

    a) never remember it even happened
    b) never even see the person again

Not as if it will affect her in the slightest [insert condescending smiley here] whereas on the other side you've got someone thinking they're a little * [ibid]

That was exactly my aim as well. I wanted to make him feel bad, well done. Bit hypocritical to suggest the lassie is a * for lying to him and not being straight with him when you're now having a go at me for being straight with the OP...

It was a bit harsh, but you need to move on with another girl, who knows, it might even make her jealous.
