Better but he really is a * tackler

 

To be quite honest I wouldn't mind selling him. He's very much 2nd pick when up against Lustig and he's too injury prone and inconsistent to be considered a reliable understudy. We could get a fair price for him too..

 

Looks to be getting back to,some good form offers more in attack than Lustig but Lustig provides more overall..good to have two players for that position three if you count Fisher who was on the bench..

Same can't be said for cover at LB!

Simply untrue. Lustig is far better going forward imo.

 

He used to be better than Lustig but there's actually quite gap between them now. Which is praise for Lustig as opposed to a slant on Matthews. Thought he was quite good today.

 

Lustig is always a great option for us going forward and has a great delivery which Matthews does not ..

 

I disagree and Adam is still only 22 so will get better.. Lustig is the better footballer and defender but Mathews on his day gets into to the box more.

Mathews has had more assists 15 to Lustig 6 over same time at the club..

 

Lustig over Matthews every time. Matthews hasn't progressed like I thought he would when we first signed him. Matthews and Forrest/McGregor down our right side badly lacks an end product. Lustig is the far better option imo.

 

Poor defensively and cannot tackle. I don't think he has blossomed as many of us thought/hoped he would have.

 

Would quite happily get rid I January for £3m and bring in Vilsvik.

 

It's honestly hard to believe this is the guy who put in that colossal performance against Messi, playing at left back that night!

Crazy how much he has regressed since they days, only talking 2 years ago aswell.

He is still only 22 (nearly 23), but it is worrying that he hasn't improved.

 

Daft to take a touch inside the box for their second. He really doesn't look sharp just now.

Matthews reacts and gets done, Johansen shoukd have also been reacting to that though. Sutton makes a grest poi t about that, if it's Broo y in that position instead he's coming over and covering.

He's a far more e perienced player so you can forgive him for that.
