Injury-prone.

This guy worries me more than anyone in our squad, because I seriously fear we'll never see the best of this him, simply because his body is so fragile.

These wee, niggling injuries will likely start to pile-up on the body as he gets older.

I wish his recovery well.

 

He made 38apps in his first season, and 39apps in his second season. That is hardly the return of an injury prone player.

 

Massive blow for us in my opinion, especially for our Champions League aspirations. Although the actual injury itself wasn't inflicted by Lasley, it come from the little rat going straight through Matthews first to win the ball. It's clear as day that he wipes Matthews out before getting to the ball, so it should have been a penalty in my opinion.

It's nothing out of the ordinary from Lasley though, he always puts the boot in against us.

 

Back in training.

It's been great that we have good players in the rb spot. Lustig is class and wouldn't shift him. Bit Matthews was really settling Into rm and he is a quality young talent.
Hope he can be in the first team soon

 

I look forward to him being slaughtered in his first 5-10 games back and people wanting to punt him in the window, saying he's injury prone and hasnt been playing well etc

Works so well with lustig behind him too. One goes forward one stays back. Perfect cover

 

When he plays with Lusyig it's like having 3 players on the right

 

Would have him right wing every time over anyone especially wa lustig behind him

 

He was absolutely fantastic against Milan. Playing him in right midfield was a great move.

 

He's been back for a while has he not?

 

If he works on his final ball and expresses himself more confidently on the ball he can be a very good right winger IMO. He needs to do a lot of work though, look at Bales transformation

 

No, he could do light training but nothing else.

 

Can't wait to get him back in the starting eleven.

 

Just hope he plays right mid, lustig doesn't deserve to be dropped...ever.

 

Lustig's having surgery this month once Matthews returns to full fitness.

 

The boy needs to sort out his crossing. He's a great player and all that, but he needs to improve on his crossing if he wants to make it to the top

 

His crossing has only really been poor in the one game I can remember. Away in the San Siro. His crossing that night was poor compared to what it is normally. I think too many people are still dwelling on it from that night.

He's a right back every day of the week he's not the best at right mid tbh.. Still does well there but as he's a good player

But right back he's top class... Right mid he's decent
