Spot on, nothing got by him once but going forward he hardly found a pass and he had one cross which he scuffed out the park. Not his natural position RM, but a bit more practice and time there and him and Lustig could be a formidable partnership down the right hand side.

Defensively rock solid but along with Lustig, both quality footballers, did not look confident with the ball at his feet.

Shanking a ball into touch by hitting it with your wrong foot first is purely down to confidence. Against any other team he would have put in a quality cross as he always does. Needs to toughen up mentally I think if he's ever going to be the top drawer player he potentially could be.

Neither Matthews or Lustig were good going forward tonight.

Gave the ball away numerous times. Impressive defensively though, especially Mikael.

This, also I don't think that he's skillful enough to play on wing.

    I'm not picky.
Don't agree with this. With him out on the right and Lustig in behind him I think it's a great cross-over combination. Matthews runs the wing really well and can cause a lot of trouble for defenses.

The whole team gave the ball away at times when going forward tonight but I thought he played really well and he just continues to get better for us.

He wasnt fit and should have been him to come off rather than Lustig.

Hope not but at least we now have the international break to get some of our players back to fitness.

Hope not. If it is true then I looked up some info on it. Not sure how accurate this blogger is though.

For a football player, recovery will typically last 6 weeks to 12 weeks, depending upon the severity of the collarbone break. The most important sign when talking about getting back to football is pain, because being in pain means the collarbone is not healed completely yet. A football player might decide to try some limited movements within 4 weeks, and if there is no pain, then a gradual introduction back into sports is okay. The younger a football player is, then the quicker he will be able to get back into the game. If there is no pain, then everything is good to go, but it should be done gradually, so that the collarbone can get used to the motions of the sport again. There is usually no long term impact of a collarbone break for a football player, and a full recovery is basically assumed. There might be a small lump where the collarbone break occurred, which can last a few weeks or a few months, but should not be painful, or cause other medical problems.

Edit: Another article says recovery time is 12 weeks to 9 months so it will depend on the severity.

Lennon confirmed this is the initial thoughts and said it could keep him out for 3 months.

One of the most common breaks for Pro Cyclists - but they are usaully back after 5-6 weeks and falling on concrete at 30mph is a tad sore more than falling on grass.....

This would be a disaster for us if true. Broken collarbone would take some time to heal properly and be really sore for him too :54:

If we can keep Forrest and Lustig fit then we will be okay.

Still a real blow for the lad, he has started the season so well.
